Job Description

Please note this is a hybrid role based on the successful candidate working at least two days a week in our London office. Remote contracts would not be considered for this role.

Purpose of job 

Comic Relief harnesses the power of celebrity and influencer relationships to create campaigns and content that resonates with audiences. This includes Red Nose Day, Sport Relief and other year-round projects.   

The Talent Manager is responsible for fostering authentic, impactful and innovative collaborations that drive fundraising, engagement and storytelling. Your key responsibilities will involve building meaningful partnerships with talent and agents, driving and leading end to end execution of talent-led activity and collaborating with internal teams to deliver effective projects and campaigns. A successful candidate will have experience working with talent, a strong network of industry contacts and solid project management skills.   

 

Key responsibilities  

  • Responsible for cultivating talent and agent relationships, building meaningful partnerships and maintain a strong network of agents and PR agencies  

  • Creating and developing talent-led projects and activity through creativity, shaping the approach for maximum impact  

  • Driving and leading the end-to-end execution of talent-led activity including casting, planning, delivery and wrap up 

  • Advising internal teams and partners, ensuring talent is used in smart, strategic and creative ways 

  • Problem solving and unpicking complex challenges navigating them calmy and constructively 

  • Being a trusted voice in the room, advocating for smart and experience led decisions ensuring our work is impactful and relevant  

  • Contributing to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging, specifically improving representation across the talent roster  

  • Undertaking domestic travel, accompanying talent and attending events

​​Essential criteria​ 

  • Experience working on talent-led activity or campaigns (celebrities, influencers and creators) across different platforms and channels 

  • Deep knowledge of the entertainment and sport sector with a well-established network of agents and PR agencies 

  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to develop collaborative partnerships    

  • An ability to juggle multiple campaigns and projects at once, remaining flexible and  

  • Strong and confident communication skills to engage and excite in all that we do 

  • Strong creativity to come develop new ideas, collaborate with others and spot opportunities for growth 

 

Desirable criteria 

  • Experience working with talent on digital and social channels (YouTube, TikTok) 

  • Experience working with sporting talent 

  • Experience of working with talent as part of a charity ambassador programme
