Job Description

About Us

At Founders Pledge, our mission is to empower entrepreneurs to do immense good. Since launching in 2015, we’ve raised over $10 billion for the most impactful social causes. We offer the simplest path to impact for successful entrepreneurs, providing end-to-end giving infrastructure, pioneering research, and access to a worldwide network of experts.

In other words, we help tech leaders become strategic philanthropists. Our 2,100+ members include the people behind industry-leading companies such as Airbnb, UiPath, Dropbox, Skype, Spotify, and Uber.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Remote AI/Automations Developer to join our Product & Tech team to design, build, and maintain automation workflows and AI-powered solutions that improve organisational efficiency and enable us to scale impact.

The Product & Tech team is responsible for developing the systems, integrations, and tools that power Founders Pledge. Reporting to Harry, our Head of Technology, you’ll play a pivotal role in embedding AI across our processes, reducing manual workloads, unlocking insights from data, and enhancing both member and staff experiences.

What You’ll Do
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for automation and AI integration across internal processes (e.g. member experience, operations, data management, and communications).

  • Design, develop, and maintain automations using tools such as Rails, Node.js, Zapier, n8n, custom scripts, or API integrations.

  • Build and fine-tune AI applications (e.g. chatbots, summarisation tools, data extraction models) that support both internal teams and member-facing services.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, scope projects, and ensure delivered solutions meet user needs.

  • Ensure automations and AI systems are reliable, secure, and maintainable, with proper monitoring, testing, and fallback mechanisms.

  • Document workflows, AI pipelines, and integrations to support ongoing maintainability and knowledge sharing.

  • Stay current on emerging AI and automation technologies and proactively recommend new tools or methods that could improve efficiency or impact.

Key 2025/2026 Projects:

  • Automating repetitive operational processes (e.g. reporting, data entry, workflow triggers).

  • Developing AI-powered summarisation and search tools for internal knowledge platforms (Slack, Google Drive, Notion, Salesforce).

  • Integrating AI into the Member App to enhance personalised experiences and efficiency.

  • Creating monitoring and analytics dashboards to track process performance and efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking an innovative, resourceful, and impact-driven AI/Automations Developer with a passion for using technology to make systems smarter and more efficient. You’ll be motivated by solving real-world problems and excited to experiment, build, and deliver meaningful solutions across the organisation.

Ideally, you have:

  • A strong interest in Founders Pledge’s mission and commitment to social impact.

  • Experience designing and building automations using tools such as Zapier, n8n, or custom scripts.

  • Proficiency with at least one modern programming language (e.g. Python, Node.js, or Ruby on Rails).

  • Familiarity with AI/ML APIs and frameworks (e.g. OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage projects from concept to completion.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical work into business outcomes.

Location and Travel Requirements

This role can be based anywhere in Germany, the UK, or the US. There’s no requirement for regular office attendance. Occasional travel may be required for team offsites (once per year), and all staff are expected to attend a global offsite annually.

Why Work With Us?

You can find more about the benefits we offer here, but what makes us truly special is both our mission and our people.

We’re a diverse team from charitable and commercial backgrounds who believe that amazing things can happen when we tackle problems together. We offer a flat structure and the opportunity to help shape the future of philanthropy.

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at Founders Pledge. We seek people with different strengths, experiences, and backgrounds who share our drive to understand and solve complex social challenges.

We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. Finding solutions to the world’s most pressing problems requires different perspectives and unique ways of thinking, and we are committed to building an inclusive and diverse workplace where everyone can do their best work.
