Job Description
Please note this is a hybrid role based on the successful candidate working at least two days a week in our London office. Remote contracts would not be considered for this role.

Working as our Digital Fundraising Manager, you’ll use your skills and expertise to change lives every day through your management of Comic Relief’s engagement with audiences across a range of digital platforms from Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok and emerging channels.
We’re looking for a Digital Fundraising Manager with strong paid media expertise to plan and deliver our integrated digital campaigns. In this role, you’ll work with brilliant in-house teams and partners in top-tier agencies to test new approaches, fine tune creative and use data to continuously optimise, as well as test and scale new, initiatives to recruit and engage supporters through joyful giving experiences. You'll work on flagship campaigns such as Red Nose Day, and you’ll play a leading role in growing support and income for Comic Relief around the clock; developing innovative new opportunities and partnerships to reach and engage audiences all year round. From supporter acquisition through to stewardship experiences, you’ll bring the unique brand of Comic Relief to life through the development of innovative digital experiences and seamless supporter journeys; be a go-to expert in planning and delivering our digital-first fundraising and engagement activity and practice rapid and continuous test, learn and optimization.
Interviews are expected to take place via zoom between the 1st -3rd of December.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Comic Relief’s paid media campaigns across display advertising, PPC, Meta, YouTube, TikTok and emerging channels from strategy through to delivery, working closely with colleagues to align and optimise an integrated Paid, Owned and Earned strategy.
Manage and optimise campaigns to drive acquisition, engagement and fundraising income.
Use data driven insight and analytics tools to continually increase and optimise performance.
Integrate paid media with owned supporter journeys (web, email, CRM).
Manage budgets, agencies and platform partners for maximum impact and value.
Use GA4 and campaign dashboards to analyse results, run A/B tests and improve performance.
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver consistent, personalised supporter experiences, ensuring that our paid media campaigns support and connect with our wider fundraising and supporter engagement goals.
Monitor industry trends and emerging digital platforms, identifying opportunities in new formats, channels, platforms, data and creative to innovate and drive growth
Support the creation of models and reports that show how paid media is driving donations and attracting new supporters.
Actively support the wider success of the team and organsiation by:
Contributing to the development of team wide annual plans and budgets, using learnings and insight to make recommendations to drive in-year and long-term income and supporter base growth.
Proactively participate in and lead aspects of wider team planning activities.
Keep abreast of the fundraising marketplace and wider legislative and regulatory landscape to identify opportunities to enhance Comic Relief’s digital fundraising activities and ensure compliance of our digital paid media activity.
Play an active role in the Fundraising & PR Team, working collaboratively to enable inclusivity and diversity to drive high performance and an action-oriented culture.
Undertake and manage ad-hoc duties as needed.
This role may develop to include line management responsibilities and duties as the portfolio expands in the future. Postholders may be expected to take on line management responsibilities when required.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria:
Hands-on experience managing paid digital campaigns (Meta, Google Ads, TikTok or similar) as well as working with paid media agencies.
Ability to use analytics (GA4 or similar) to analyse and optimise campaigns.
Excellent data analysis skills and experience in briefing and analysing complex data and insight to produce clear briefs and effective marketing plans.
Strong project management and stakeholder skills - comfortable juggling multiple campaigns and agencies in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Experience integrating paid media with CRM, owned and earned channels.
Experience in audience acquisition and growth strategies (particularly in driving engagement and fundraising through digital channels).
A proactive self-starter who loves testing, learning and innovating and proven ability to work independently, managing own work plan to deliver against set goals and objectives to agreed timescales.
Great communication skills - effective relationship builder with strong stakeholder management, able to adapt to different styles and ways of working.
Experience of annual planning and year-round budget management, including ability to set detailed budgets and KPIs, reforecast and proactively manage campaign budgets

Desirable Criteria:
Line management experience
Experience of digital fundraising and engagement
Accredited fundraising or digital marketing qualification
Experience of working with Salesforce Non-profit Cloud and Marketing Cloud
