Key Responsibilities

· Supplier engagement - create awareness of the overall client strategy, ensuring suppliers are informed, engaged, and empowered to make change happen

· Identify shared challenges and opportunities for collaboration across the supply-base

· Identify solutions from within the client organisation, supply chain or independent experts (where available) and communicate potential solutions

· Provide guidance and case study examples of suggested solutions illustrating their practicality and ease of implementation

· Develop a strong collaborative relationship with the client

· Continually reviewing and identifying opportunities to strengthen the ways of working between the client, its supply base and our business

· Gain insight from the client organisation, and its supply chain, on how the programme can be improved, map feedback/insight trends and prioritise feedback to present to the client and develop ideas with the programme management team

· On-line content management- ensure an up to date repository of best practice materials is available to the community and develop metrics to track the benefits and how the community is growing loyalty to the client

· Research and write 'blog-style' articles on relevant sustainability topics that are linked to the interests of the client and its supply base

Key Requirements

· A high level understanding of the key supply chain issues facing retailers

· Supplier facing experience

· Technical experience of working in complex supply chains

· Ability to make decisions quickly in a fast-moving environment

· Project management to ensure tasks are completed on time

· Proactive in taking the initiative

· Ability to convey technical information in an engaging and useful way to non-technical audiences

· Experience of high-level engagement within companies (leading projects and working directly with directors and senior members of staff)

· Food and agriculture sector knowledge

· University degree in relevant area and more than a year of demonstrable supply chain and/or sustainability experience
