PURPOSE OF THE ROLE 

As Senior Manager, Global Partnerships you will use your business development, sales, organizational expertise and commercial acumen to secure high-value new partnerships that align with our strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Partnerships and working within the Global Partnerships team, you will lead the business development pipeline, targeting key prospects and developing proposals, and secure multi-year, revenue-generating partnerships against agreed targets.   In order to succeed in this role, you will be an experienced business development professional, with a track record of establishing impactful, high-value relationships in order to meet significant new-revenue targets. You will be ambitious, entrepreneurial and highly capable across the spectrum of the business development cycle, from pitching to closing, and have experience of lead generation techniques.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prospecting & Securing New Partnerships

    • You will lead on business development, from targeting and converting a pipeline of prospective partners to secure six and seven-figure, multi-year relationships against agreed targets. 

    • You will establish, build and maintain relationships with prospective partners, identifying opportunities at an early stage and managing the engagement process through the business development cycle.

    • You will design and implement lead generation initiatives to increase Unreasonable’s engagement with key partner profiles.

    • You will help identify and manage barriers to the achievement of our objectives, with support from the Senior Director of Global Partnerships.

    • You will be remarkably disciplined in your followup, follow-through, outreach, support, and care for all prospective partnerships including managing and keeping up-to-date a detailed CRM.

  • Proposals: 

    • You will lead the development of customized and innovative proposals, pitch decks and follow-up materials to secure partnerships.

  • Systems & Processes

    • You will collaborate with the Global Partnerships team to design, evolve, and manage systems and processes, which drive more effective lead generation, pipeline management and overall revenue growth.

    • You will lead on the implementation and development of system and process improvements.

  • Contract & Account Management Support: 

    • You will support the Senior Director of Global Partnerships to ensure that contract negotiations are done in a compliant manner and to assist with contract management.

    • You will support the collaboration with the Account Management team in the later stages of the partnership development process to ensure alignment and seamlessly pass the relationship for ongoing relationship and project management of new partners. 

  • Events: 

    • You will represent Unreasonable at relevant industry events where you will develop relationships with prospective partners and occasionally speak at said events. 

    • When requested, during specific gatherings hosted by Unreasonable worldwide, you may serve as a host, liaison, and relationship manager for entrepreneurs and partners present at a given program.

  • Travel: 

    • This position will not require extensive travel, but at times you may need to be prepared to travel domestically and internationally to support with closing partners where an in-person meeting will help expedite the process.

  • You are experienced in managing the spectrum of the business development cycle, from sourcing, to pitching, and closing new relationships

  • You have experience developing innovative proposals and presenting to senior corporate executives to secure multi-year partnerships

  • You are an excellent communicator and gain energy through building deep, trusted relationships. You genuinely love meeting new people and are comfortable liaising with senior decision makers

  • You thrive when juggling many moving parts simultaneously, and you can turn up the hustle when necessary

  • You are equally able to work alongside a partner or team as well as working independently on a project from start to finish

  • You believe deeply in the importance of transparent and honest communication

  • You are skilled at research and proposal design to develop presentation materials (documents, slide decks, etc.)

  • You always follow up and follow through on time

  • You are never the person who says, “That’s not my job”

  • You believe that when work is done well, magic is in the details

  • June 14th - 16th: If you are invited to the next round of the process, we will schedule a 20 minute phone call with you.

  • June 16th - 21st: We will give select applicants a small “trial project” representative of the type of work associated with this position. Though it should only take a few hours to complete, we will give you 6 days.

  • June 27th - June 30th: Assuming both of us want to continue exploring the potential of working together, we'll invite you to a longer interview with our team.

  • July 5th: You will be notified whether or not the position is yours.

  • July 25th: Ideally, those accepted will be able to join the company no later than Tuesday, July 25th.
