Job Description

The opportunity

We are on the lookout for a talented and proactive Operations Specialist to provide the link between eve sleep and our operational partners. Sitting right in the heart of the Operations team and reporting to the Logistics Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating our warehouses and couriers to ensure customers receive the best possible delivery experience.

As the Logistics Specialist, you will be at the forefront of the customer experience, working closely with the supply and inbound specialists to maintain a seamless supply chain. Responsible for all customer dispatches, you will work with our carriers across Europe to ship a broad range of products (all the way from sloths to bed frames), ensuring orders are delivered on time and in full.

Overseeing the warehouse pick & pack teams you will monitor their daily performance, plan carrier capacity and troubleshoot issues to keep backorders to a minimum. Working closely with our Customer Experience team, you will understand the latest trends in customer contacts and develop action plans to reduce these, improving the overall delivery experience as a result.

Supporting the Logistics Operations Manager and tech teams, you will have the chance to help us innovate, as we expand our delivery logic, automate shipment flows, and launch new best in class delivery services.

There has never been a more exciting or challenging time to work in Ecommerce Operations, as more customers than ever are migrating from “bricks” to “clicks”, changing previously established service and quality expectations. This role provides incredible exposure to the leading edge of retail fulfilment, with all the development opportunities associated.

This position would suit a candidate with supply/order management or FMCG sector experience.

The day-to-day stuff

  • Proactively manage our orders, finding solutions to ensure we consistently hit our customer delivery promise.

  • Be the daily face of Eve for our warehouses and carriers, providing the support needed to maintain SLAs.

  • Report weekly on our outbound and carrier performance, providing insights on how to improve further.

  • Communicate daily with our customer service team, to provide backorder visibility and support customer enquiries.

  • Analyse courier tracking and customer contact reasons to identify shipment issues and trends.

  • Work closely with the CX Team Leader to reduce delivery related contacts.

  • Provide feedback to our tech team on delivery related bugs.

  • Support the Logistics Operations Manager on the development and launch of new delivery services.

  • Support the capacity planning required to help facilitate promotional periods, sales and peak periods (such as Black Friday)

 What we’ll love about you:

  • Strong excel skills and are comfortable working with data sets

  • A natural curiosity and enjoy investigating a problem so you can find the solution

  • Passionate about process and reporting and are able to spot the details that make a difference

  • Known for your strong communication skills and are well practised at using your initiative

  • Working with new systems doesn’t phase you because you approach new challenges with a can-do attitude

  • Build and maintain relationships because being part of positive work culture is important to you.

  • Excited to help us improve the sleep wellness of our customers.

  • We’re a small team; everyone needs to work and support one another. You’ll be rewarded with a real understanding of how your work has impacted the business.

  • As a self-starter, you have a contagious spirit to help us build the best brand we can. You’ll also be highly collaborative and welcome working closely with the rest of the business.

  • Things move at a quicker pace than our dancing sloth, so you’ll need to be flexible and okay with change.

  • Well practised at using your initiative, have a can-do attitude & will always be wanting to learn & grow.

  • We care and respect each other, and we look for those who do the same whilst building and maintaining relationships with others.

  • Building the eve culture is important to us, and we want people who will contribute to this, who are passionate about what we are doing and who are eager to join us on the journey of sleep wellness.

 Bonus points if

  • You’re able to speak French

  • You have previous experience working with Netsuite & ERPs

  • You have relevant logistics experience, having worked within a carrier 3PL environment or logistics/order management function within an FMCG industry company.

what you’ll love about us

Aside from the job role, the people and our culture, we have a few other things that make eve a pretty amazing place to be:

  • No more sleepless nights. Once you have passed probation, you will receive an eve mattress and pillow on us. Believe us; you will never have been so excited about a mattress and pillow. There’s also a generous staff discount and one for family and friends, too.

  • Looking after you. You’ll have the choice to sign up for private health insurance with Vitality on completion of probation. We’ll cover the cost while you enjoy 24/7 online GPs, access to great medical care, incentive points to get fit or stay fit, and some seriously cool discounts.

  • Flexible hours. Being a sleep wellness company, we know that people tend to be either an early bird or a night owl or something in-between. That’s why we have flexible hours to help everyone be the very best version of themselves (and catch those extra zzz’s).

  • Hybrid working. We know that working away from the office can mean a better work-life balance and more flexibility. So we’ve introduced a hybrid way of working that means we spend some time in the office with our colleagues and some time at home (or somewhere else) every week.

  • Holiday. You’ll get 25 days a year, excluding Bank Holidays. And we’ll give you an extra day’s holiday every year after you’ve worked with us for 2 years, up to a maximum of 30 days. Nice, eh?

  • Birthday day. Fancy an extra day off on your special day? We give you a day’s annual leave in addition to your 25 days on your birthday. Make sure you celebrate in style.

  • Grow with us. We’re passionate about your growth, and throughout each year, we want to champion (and understand) your personal development goals. We also host personal and professional learning opportunities.

  • Weekly yoga. You don’t have to be a pro yogi to join in with this one. Every week we head off into the world of Zoom for weekly yoga classes to help us unwind and relax.

  • Cycle to work scheme. We believe in your overall wellness and want to support where we can. So, after 3 months with us, you can apply to our Cycle to Work scheme and invest in some seriously cool wheels.

  • Sharing is caring. We’re not afraid to talk about mental health and believe it’s a basic human right to feel supported. That’s why we work with Spill, a remote mental health service that provides support in all different shapes and sizes. This one’s on us, so use it to your heart’s content.

  • Culture champs. The word culture is thrown around these days. But we actually live for ours. That’s why we’ve got a team of proactive culture champs who plan fun stuff that brings us all together. So whether it’s a remote cooking lesson, a brain gym sesh or a surprise in the post, we’ve got a smashing culture that gives back on the reg. And we’re pretty damn proud of it.

  • Wednesday brekkie. When we’re in the office, we set you up with a healthy breakfast every Wednesday morning to fuel you through the day.

  • Thursday drinks. What better way to kick back than with a Thursday tipple? We’d usually do it in person, but right now, we do it via Google Meet. Some weeks we host games, and other weeks we have a general chinwag.

  • Not your typical bonus. Our people enjoy the same financial bonus, regardless of experience, salary or seniority. This is just one way we’re smashing inclusivity.

  • Share the love. We’re always on the lookout for talented people to join the eve team. So if you recommend someone for a role we are recruiting for, and they’re successful, you’ll receive £500 once they complete their 3-month probation. Nice.

  • Simply The Best. We’re not afraid to champion each others’ successes, which is why we hold monthly Simply The Best nominations and recognitions to shine a light on successes across the business, no matter how big or small.

  • Doggy friendly. Yup, you read that right. Our workplace is doggy friendly, so some of our team bring their furry friends in a few days a week.
