Ella’s Kitchen is recruiting a Financial Accountant to support the business in delivering world class financial and management reporting to cover maternity leave. You will ensure that Ella’s Kitchen are compliant with external and Hain Celestial financial reporting requirements, as well as providing a variety of management reporting to enable effective decision making.

Location: Near Henley-on-Thames – you’ll be able to work flexibly between home and our lovely Barns

Reports to: Financial Controller (Runs Making the Sums Work)

Contract: 9–12-month maternity cover

Full time, 40 hours (Monday to Friday)

Purpose of role

Support the Sums (Finance) team by taking responsibility for accounting, statutory reporting, management reporting, and internal controls compliance, as well as other ad-hoc tasks.

Role activities / responsibilities

  • Month end reporting, including responsibility for:

o Intercompany accounting

o Various balance sheet accounts

o Reporting to US head office via Hyperion

o Production of management accounts and commentary

  • Statutory reporting and compliance, including;

o Supporting the year end financial audit

o Financial statement preparation

o Corporation tax payments, compliance and statutory returns

  • Internal controls compliance (Sarbox), including:

o Ensuring that internal control processes are in place and effectively monitored

o Responsibility for various ITGC processes

  • SAP B1 accounting system superuser, with responsibility for:

o Approving and revoking access

o Routine system changes

o Ad-hoc trouble shooting and general system support

  • Ad hoc project support

You will need:

  • Be a qualified accountant with an ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualification

  • Be driven and results orientated with a desire to achieve

  • Have a willingness to throw yourself into a varied and busy role

  • Have a strong attention to detail and an ability to work to deadlines with accuracy

  • Have the ability to manage your workload around busy periods and key deadlines

  • Have strong communication skills with the ability to speak to others in the business at all levels and deal with queries from external parties.

  • Have really strong Microsoft Excel skills.

It would be nice if you had:

  • Experience of working with SAP B1, Hyperion and COGNOS/TM1.

  • A few years’ experience in a relevant role
