Summary of role:

We are looking for dedicated Program Manager to help drive the transformational ambition of a key Anthesis client - The Electric Utility Industry Supply Chain Sustainability Alliance and its members (www.euissca.org).  The Alliance is a group of 26 leading electric utility procurement departments, representing over $115Billion in annual spend, working to pull sustainability into their practices. 

This entrepreneurial role will be directly helping to drive sustainable outcomes within these value chains and across that scale of spend.  The role will involve coordination and support of tasks delivered by Anthesis teams, implementation of a range of programs across the electric utility value chain, monitoring and managing a significant budget over time, shaping the strategic direction of the Alliance, and ultimately helping to achieve more sustainable outcomes within the electric utility supply chain.  This role will be a key member of the Alliance delivery team reporting directly to the Executive Director.

The ideal candidate will bring a balance of experience in at least three of: program management, community management/engagement, supply chain management, and sustainability implementation.  The role will best fit an individual with an appetite for impact, a solution focused mindset, a passion for organizational change, and a predisposition to sustaining change efforts over a long period of time.  While this is a dedicated role, they will be an Anthesis employee and tied into that community to harness the expansive expertise, culture, and organizational capabilities to drive results for the Alliance members.

This role will be a key lynchpin in a rapidly growing, engaged, collaborative community of Anthesis subject matter experts and industry stakeholders who are driving significant change in critical value chains. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • The main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Working directly with the Executive Director and the EUISSCA Executive Committee contribute to the strategic direction and priorities of the organization and industry value chains

  • Engage Alliance utility members, supplier affiliate members, and industry peers to identify key obstacles to sustainability improvements, develop or promote solutions, and to drive adoption of impact reduction strategies

  • Working closely with subject matter experts, create and coordinate overall project plans and schedules; monitor activities, progress, and milestones against the plans

  • Working with Alliance contractors (e.g., an administrative office, assessment provider, etc.) to deliver positive outcomes for members

  • Ensure project activities are in compliance with the contract and operational goals, including the quality, value, timeliness, and budgeted profitability

  • Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate risks and any related project issues. Communicate solutions to management and stakeholders to obtain their input and buy-in, as appropriate

  • Develop standard project deliverables, including project and team email updates, project roadmaps, meeting agendas and minutes

  • Coordinate and facilitate core team meetings and issue projects updates to the executive committee

  • Perform core project management functions involving scheduling, monitoring, and reporting of progress, invoicing, preparation of procedures, documentation of communications and outcomes of client meetings, and identification/evaluation of project issues and problems

  • Coordinate efforts of Anthesis subject matter experts, subcontractors, and licensors/ and or other vendors to ensure integrated and complete deliverables that meet project requirements and contractual requirements

  • Support creation and coordination of project effort hours, and cost estimates and budgets, and monitor progress and cost performance against these

  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and involving using Enterprise Resource Planning tools

  • Support coordination of project resourcing needs as needed

  • Support the preparation, delivery, and coordination of project deliverables, if needed

  • Coordinate project debrief meetings for an internal Anthesis audience, share lessons learned, and adjust/ improve process on an ongoing basis

  • Provide coaching and timely feedback to team members to support growth and development of the team

  • Other duties as assigned

Skills:

  • Minimum 8 years’ postgraduate experience, preferably in a utility or supply chain role, or running a multi-client or collaborative project

  • Preference for experience in at least three of: program management, community management/engagement, supply chain management, and sustainability implementation

  • 5+ years of working directly with clients and/or members to define needs, develop appropriate scope of work, outline the tasks, secure resources to deliver and ensure a deliverable

  • Flexible and adaptable approach, willing to take on new work challenges and adapt to a diverse set of member contexts

  • Ability to set and maintain high standards of performance with responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments and task

  • Proven experience in all aspects of project management

  • Experience planning, organizing, and controlling resources/processes to achieve project/program objectives within scope, time, quality, and budget constraints

  • Strong group management/facilitation skills

  • Demonstrated commercial acumen 

  • Strong executive messaging skills, with ability to succinctly summarize and communicate projects timelines, status, risks, etc.

  • Excellent communication skills and technical writing skills

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, accountability, and adaptability skills

  • Analytical approach to problem solving and identifying potential solutions

  • Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email, spreadsheets, electronic presentations, and project management tools

  • Strong understanding and experience with Office365

  • Desirable but not required: registered or accredited professional in project management, for example Project Management Professional (PMP)
