Job Description

PURPOSE OF JOB:

As Junior Talent Manager, you will play an important role in recruiting and managing talent (celebrities and influencers) for Comic Relief’s campaigns and activity.  

You will work across a broad and exciting range of projects and campaigns throughout the year that combine the worlds of entertainment, sport, and charity – including Red Nose Day and Sport Relief.

You will need to have a good understanding of the UK entertainment and sport landscape and have experience of working with talent and celebrities.

Supporting Comic Relief’s busy talent team, you will be required to manage ad hoc projects, lead on team administration, and contribute ideas and suggestions.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised communicator, brimming with ideas and initiative with experience working as part of a small but busy team.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Project manage talent-led activity, helping to recruit and manage celebrities and influencers

  • Ensuring all members of the talent team have the administrative support needed to be able to fulfil their work effectively

  • Manage and maintain team databases on all artist activity

  • Ensure that the team are in line and up to date with all cross-org administrative requests and commitments and be the first point of contact for these

  • Help manage internal relationships, ensuring that talent involvement across all teams is effective and that knowledge and understanding of the team’s work is maintained to a high level across the organisation

  • Manage the review of EDI/representation targets in all talent activity

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Demonstrable experience of working with celebrities and/or influencers

  • Good understanding and proven knowledge of key IT platforms

  • The ability to problem-solve and use initiative to find solutions

  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to help build and nurture long and successful partnerships

  • A good communicator who works well in a team and collaborates with key stakeholders

  • Proven experience of manging and delivering projects from beginning to end

  • The ability to adjust to the changeable needs of talent and the team

  • A passionate and strong understanding of Comic Relief’s mission and values

DESERIABLE

  • A proactive, positive and fun individual with a “can-do” attitude

  • Experience of connecting talent with charity and causes

  • Experience and knowledge of working with influencers and digital-first talent
