Job Description

The Talent Manager, in conjunction with the rest of the Talent Team, will help feed into the delivery of the talent strategy and involvement of celebrities and influencers primarily for Red Nose Day 2022 but also Comic Relief’s 365 programming and fundraising model.                                                                

Key responsibilities:

  • Strategically and creatively partner with talent to deliver engaged talent immersion across all Comic Relief’s platforms and work, including work with all external partners

  • Project manage talent-led activity on an ad hoc basis

  • Manage external relationships, always seeking to strengthen ties with talent representatives and key external stakeholders

  • Manage internal relationships, ensuring that talent involvement across all teams is effective and that knowledge and understanding of the Talent Team’s work is maintained to a high level across the organisation

  • Contribute to KPIs for Diversity & Inclusion, specifically improving talent representation across all of Comic Relief’s work

  • Potentially undertake a certain amount of domestic travel in the execution of their role

Person specification

Essential criteria

  • Proven experience of working successfully with talent (from high profile to emerging) from a range of backgrounds and across different platforms

  • Strong relationship management skills – able to build long and successful partnerships

  • Good communication abilities – the right skills to engage and excite in all that we do

  • Creativity – ability to generate ideas, be inventive and collaborate

  • Dynamism – positive and passionate about all areas of our work

  • Flexibility – able to respond positively to the changing and evolving talent needs of the team and the organisation

Desirable criteria

  • Proven experience of developing strategical plans with talent and creating long term partnerships

  • Experience of working with talent from digital spaces like gaming and social media platforms

  • Experience coordinating and delivering project visits with talent for national and regional media placement
