In the last twenty-five years, CACTX has become the national leader in providing best-practice, evidence-based services to children impacted by abuse, serving nearly 1 million children statewide, through a statewide network of children’s advocacy centers. We have recently scaled our vision to eradicate child sexual abuse and have constructed a theory of change and strategy map and now need to identify high-impact activities to support our organization’s multi-year, multi-generational journey into this work. About the Strategy Development Principal Role:
As a collaborative member of the Strategy Development and Evaluation Team, the Strategy Development Principal is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing high-impact, evidence-informed strategies in furtherance of the organization’s vision of eradicating child sexual abuse in Texas. This position will focus primarily on strategy development within the area of child sexual abuse awareness and education and will also collaborate with team members to develop strategies that focus on other areas, such as primary prevention of sexual offending behavior. To achieve this outcome, the Principal will analyze, synthesize, and apply research findings, consult and collaborate with subject matter experts and team members, manage complex projects and timelines, and begin to cultivate strategic partnerships with key stakeholders at the state and federal levels from fields such as education, public relations, public health, criminal justice, and social work.
This position is based in Austin, Texas. Applicants outside of Austin will be considered. Travel to Austin approximately 2-3 times per month is expected.

Analyze, synthesize, and apply findings from research and literature sources to identify and develop high-impact strategies to eradicate child sexual abuse in Texas, focusing primarily on child sexual abuse awareness and education and perpetration prevention, two of three overarching strategies critical to achieving the vision.
Conduct discovery efforts to identify strategies to shift the public perception of child sexual abuse from a criminal justice issue to an urgent – and preventable – public health issue.
Develop multi-year strategic plans and timelines and identify resource needs to execute identified strategies, inclusive of creating “bridge plans” to make progress toward goals in the short-term while simultaneously developing long-term strategies.
Analyze federal and state statutes and make necessary policy recommendations based on research findings; collaborate with the CACTX External Relations team to advance policies and recommendations in furtherance of our vision to eradicate child sexual abuse.
Identify potential strategic partnerships and collaborate with the External Relations Team to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders at the state and federal levels from fields such as education, public relations, public health, criminal justice, and social work.
