About the Role 

The Very Great Sales Team seeks an experienced and highly motivated Sales Manager to manage our Independent retail channel. The ideal candidate has experience working in the Independent retail channel, assessing, onboarding and managing Rep Groups. This team member will create and own the go to market strategy for all brands in store and online in this space. They will partner closely with the Brand teams to ensure each Brand strategy is reflected with our retail partners. 

The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational and presentation skills, keen attention to detail, a passion for idea sharing and enjoys a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role contributes to the success of the entire Very Great organization by strategically expanding our retail base, deepening existing relationships and onboarding new partners.

Very Great is based in NYC but this position is full-time remote. This role will report to the Director of Independent and International Sales.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and strengthen existing direct retailer relationships and a regional Rep Group

  • Assess and onboard new Rep Group partners to expand our retail base in the USA

  • Build a strategy to support the sales goals in place for each brand

  • Run reports on top sellers and building assortments using the sell-in and sell-out data available to support to suggest the best assortments for our partners

  • Own the presentation schedule of product trainings and presentation of innovation to our key partners and Rep Group

  • Manage account needs for displays, signage, shop-in-shops, and working together with the Brands to develop them

  • Collaborate with brands on new opportunities

  • Partner closely with internal design, operations and logistics teams to ensure everyone is aware of important launch timelines and no opportunity is missed

  • Own the Demand Forecast for this channel to ensure inventory needs are communicated to the planning team

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree and suggested 5+ years of experience working with Rep Groups and Independent retailers

  • Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills, flexible attitude, aptitude for working with many people and ability to manage a rapidly changing environment

  • Self-starter, professional, positive attitude and highly collaborative

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and adept with Microsoft Suite

  • Passionate about the consumer product industry
