Job Description

Chief of Staff

  • Function: Executive

  • Reporting To: CEO & COO

  • Time Fraction: Full-time

Why join Music Health?

This is a special time for Music Health.  We're on a mission to transform healthcare with music by providing accessible and effective digital music experiences that improve mental and physical well being. We're a young and fast-growing company with endless potential to make a difference.  We’ve already laid the foundations as a successful startup and are now maturing into a global scaleup.

What do we do, exactly?

We've created a technology platform that delivers music therapy to anyone with an internet connection. Our first brand, "Vera," focuses on dementia care.

How do we work?

At our core, we're an innovation company driven by a passion for change. We work quickly and collaboratively, embracing a flat organizational structure that encourages rapid decision-making and fosters a supportive, mistake-friendly environment. We believe in the power of good ideas and execution, and you'll be surrounded by a world-class team dedicated to promoting well being and advancing the use of music therapy in modern healthcare.

Being a startup, we aren't flush with resources or cash and want to be very upfront that joining the company at this stage (pre-seed) is an opportunity to earn significant equity and play a pivotal role in our future success. We are not in a position to pay market wages yet, but have committed to our team when that will change (post-seed funding). The package we offer for this role will combine equity and cash to match up to a compelling market rate offer, however the equity portion will largely outweigh the cash portion initially in the short term.

Why will you thrive here?

Not only will you be part of a dynamic and rapidly growing company on a mission to transform healthcare with music, but you'll also have the opportunity to set yourself up for success from day one because you’ll have:

  • Hands-on experience in a startup environment, where you'll have the chance to be a core team member and help shape our early success.

  • Flexible, hybrid working hours that allow for both team collaboration and personal focus.

  • The chance to see the meaningful impact of your work as we help people improve their mental and physical well being.

  • The opportunity to learn from some of the best in the business, including a diverse and international team of innovators from the music and tech industries.

  • The chance to share in the company's ownership (equity), ensuring that your success is directly tied to Music Health's success.

At Music Health, we prioritize our Employee Experience (EX) and are committed to making this role a highlight in your career. In return, we ask that you...

  • Embrace our vision and embody our core practices.

  • Dedicate your energy to our mission of changing people's lives with the power of music.

The Role

To accelerate our mission to transform healthcare with music we’re looking for a Chief of Staff to be a strategic partner to our co-founders, Nicc and Steve, as well as our Leadership Team. The role provides you with a unique vantage point across all teams, which will allow you to connect dots and become a force multiplier.

Step into a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where you'll be at the forefront of the company's early stages of commercialization. You will work closely with our business development, marketing, product, and customer success teams to drive success and achieve our vision.

You'll have the unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by balancing both strategic and operational responsibilities while also having the autonomy to make your own decisions and explore innovative tactics. We believe in empowering our team members, and you'll have the full support of our leadership with 100% backing for your decisions if you believe in them with enough conviction.
