Job Description

The Digital Assistant role is a new position in a dynamic sector of publishing, providing support to the fast-paced Digital team (which incorporates Digital, Audio, Central Marketing and Insight). This is a junior position in the team where administration forms the backbone of the role and the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time is crucial. 

The role will require an extremely high level of organisation and initiative, as well as an ability to quickly learn new systems. We’re looking for someone to support the team initially across admin and finance but with opportunities to get involved in more creative tasks relating to the digital function across e-books, audio and general projects.

The role offers solid experience supporting a varied and busy team.  It’s a real opportunity for gaining an unmatched insight into the audio and digital publishing landscape, and the workings of publishing across all genres.  

Key Tasks

  • Provide administrative support for the Group Digital Director and wider team on a day-to-day basis; including coordinating the Group Digital Director’s diary, general office management, assistance on presentations and reports, posting out competition prizes etc.

  • Responsible for finance administration and processing for the division 

  • Answering finance and general queries from the business and from outside

Creative Tasks

  • Supporting the Audio team in creating audiograms and managing uploads onto external platforms

  • Involvement in designing and creative e-book samples using HTML and supporting on special eBook projects
