Job Description - Senior Marketing and Communications Manager

Purpose of the role
Developing and implementing communications and marketing plans to implement ACFs marketing and communications strategy to build ACF’s brand and reputation, increase the use ACF members make of our services and grow ACF’s membership base.
Improve ACFs use of new, and digital communication methods.
Ensure colleagues have good understanding of the profile and motivations of our members, potential members and other stakeholders and customers.
Key tasks and areas of responsibility
Corporate
Act as a representative of ACF in meetings with members, contractors and commerical partners.
Strategy and planning
Work with senior colleagues to develop marketing and communications plans for ACF’s activities which include: events and conferences, membership recruitment and services, products, and projects.
Business Role
Responsibility for the effective operation of ACF communications channels including: website, web portal and online communities, social media, newsletters, print brochures and promotional materials.
Producing and commissioning content for ACF’s communications channels. This would typically include: blogs and articles, newsletters, infographics, photos and videos, adverts and guides.
Deliver effective audience insight research.
Develop and implement new digital communication tools.
Assist in the planning and delivery of website upgrade and improvements as required.
Assist the Director of External Affairs and Director of Membership in development and promotion of ACF’s brand, positioning, and tone of voice.
General
Work collaboratively with colleagues.
Ensure that the principles of equality and valuing diversity underpin the execution of the responsibilities and tasks described above.
Have regard to environmental good practice in all areas of the work.
Undertake any other duties in support of ACF’s work as may reasonably be required.
Comply with all ACF’s policies and procedures.
Salary and hours
Salary: £38,650 to £41,700 (Rate for 35 hours)
Hours: Part time hours will be considered, and home working is possible
Annual leave: Pro-rated 25 days, plus public holidays, plus any weekdays that are not public holidays between 27 and 31 December (inclusive), 24 December when it falls on a Monday, and 2 January when it falls on a Friday
Pension 10% of pay employer contribution.
Contract type: Permanent
Location: 28 Commercial Road, London E1 6LS. Near Aldgate, Aldgate East and Whitechapel stations.
