DESCRIPTION:

Under the supervision of the Director of Standards of Excellence and in coordination with the Standards of Excellence Team, the Program Specialist performs activities related to program quality and program excellence. The Program Specialist will ensure consistency in children’s advocacy center services through the monitoring of compliance to Texas Family Code Chapter 264 and Texas Standards for CACs in furtherance of CACTX’s vision to Eradicate Child Sexual Abuse in Texas.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Program Excellence:

  • Conducts program excellence activities, including, but not limited to:

  • Program Excellence site visits (within state of Texas)

  • Development of technical assistance resources

  • Outcome Measurement System administration and training.

Program Compliance:

  • Conducts compliance activities, including, but not limited to:

  • Compliance site visits (within state of Texas) and/or desk reviews

  • Quarterly Statistical Report (QSR) reviews

  • MOU/Working Protocol reviews

  • Maintains expert knowledge of Texas Standards for CACs, NCA Standards for Accreditation and Texas Family Code Chapter 264.

Collaboration:

  • Cultivates, maintains, and stewards relationships with internal stakeholders and member centers

  • Contributes to cross-functional collaboration and key CACTX initiatives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred with 2-3 years of experience. Years of relevant experience may be substituted for formal education

  • Skill in communicating effectively, both in writing and verbally.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Skill in working and connecting with a diverse group of colleagues and partners.

  • Microsoft Office skills- advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access preferred.

  • Ability to oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously, work independently under tight deadlines, prioritize responsibilities, and identify and resolve conflicts in a timely and appropriate manner.

  • Candidates must reside in Texas and have reliable transportation with the ability to travel to Austin, TX as needed as well as to local centers across the state. We have invested in technology, facilities, and infrastructure to allow staff to have the flexibility to work remotely but also have a collaborative physical office space that fosters connectivity.

  • Must have reliable and effective internet connectivity to fulfill job duties remotely.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of CAC model and Texas Standards.

  • Desire to work within a fast-paced, change-oriented, optimistic, “fail-forward” culture and professional environment.
