About us

Transparency International is a global movement sharing one vision: a world in which government politics, business and the daily lives of people are free of corruption. Transparency International UK is the UK national chapter of this movement. We work with the British government, parliamentarians, civil society and the private sector to tackle corruption at home, addressing the UK’s global corruption footprint and helping multinational companies prevent corruption by operating with integrity. We are also home to two major global programmes tackling corruption in the Defence and Security sector and Global Health on behalf of the wider Transparency International movement.

Transparency International UK’s Business Integrity team aims to be the premier resource for companies seeking to combat bribery and corruption in their operations and the jurisdictions where they operate. Working with us gives you the opportunity to shape the discussion and help devise solutions to challenging issues.

The Transparency International UK Corporate Anti-Corruption Benchmark (the Benchmark) is an industry leading comprehensive self-assessment tool that measures and compares the performance of anti-corruption programmes across companies. The methodology is based on Transparency International’s extensive anti-corruption expertise and understanding of best practice for the private sector, combined with input from experienced specialist in-house and external practitioners. Further background information on the Benchmark and its benefits for companies can be found here.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Research Analyst to manage the Benchmark, and related private sector engagement, and develop this product into an indispensable tool for companies looking to assess their anti-bribery and anti-corruption programmes against legal requirements, industry norms and the practices of the most forward thinking and innovative companies. As part of managing the Benchmark, the role will deliver quarterly “Deep Dive” workshops which bring together Benchmark participants to share best practice on managing corruption risks.

The role will also be responsible for conducting research to support the delivery of our business integrity publications, producing and/or inputting into team communications, and other tasks related to our business integrity work.

The Senior Research Analyst will be responsible for:

1.       Managing the Corporate Anti-Corruption Benchmark (ensuring the question set and the data dashboards are of the highest possible quality) and taking ownership of the product vision to develop it into an indispensable tool for companies.

2.       Managing the relationship with Benchmark participants to ensure they have a positive user experience (conducting demos of the Benchmark, on-boarding new participants and guiding them through the Benchmarking cycle, answering queries on question interpretation and dashboard functionality).

3.       Delivering quarterly Deep Dive workshops (designing content based on participant feedback, Benchmark data analysis and latest best practice, inviting guest speakers as needed).

4.       Providing analysis of Benchmark data and reporting data trends to participants (drawing conclusions from data trend dashboards and free text data from the question set).

5.       Evaluating the Benchmark through annual participant interviews, analysis of Benchmark data and desk research, and implementing changes to improve the question set and dashboards.

6.       Conducting research (assisting with desk research, interviewing) to support the delivery of our business integrity publications and producing and/or inputting into business integrity communications.

7.       Keeping abreast of anti-corruption and compliance trends, relevant law enforcement developments (attending conferences, reading industry news and official publications) to integrate latest best practice into the Benchmark and inform TI-UK policy.

8.       Presenting information on corporate anti-corruption programmes to a variety of audiences including the business sector, compliance professionals and other Transparency International chapters.

9.       Meeting any other demands the role may require to their best endeavours.
