Job Description

We’re looking for an ambitious Communications Coordinator who is passionate about the environment, to join our purpose driven team. You’ll work closely with our comms team and will support Hubbub’s core communications to grow our audiences and amplify our content. Your role will also involve delivering communications for Hubbub’s campaigns. On a typical day you might create content around the latest news and trends, sparking online conversations that engage Hubbub’s followers and bring in new ones. You might run a brainstorming session to develop a new idea, or work with a project team to create digital campaign ads, and then use your analytical skills to maximise their impact. 

We're looking for someone with an active interest in current affairs and is able to communicate in a way that is friendly, knowing and meets our tone of voice, who has a great sense of humour, thrives on challenges and can work confidently under their own initiative.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: 

  • Staying up to date on current affairs, news and trends, building these into Hubbub’s communications.  

  • Supporting the development of strategies to amplify Hubbub’s content, including planning and creating themed social media campaigns, newsletters, and digital advertising. 

  • Creating engaging content and copywriting using a witty and knowing tone which is central to Hubbub’s brand.  

  • Lead on scheduling all content across our newsletter and social media channels in an impactful, strategic way.  

  • Coordinating campaign communications, working collaboratively with project teams and pitching in where needed to support the wider team. No task is too big or too small.  

  • Manage Hubbub’s live presence on social media, responding to and instigating two-way conversations with interesting accounts, questions, and comments we receive to build engagement & brand affinity. 

  • Manage Hubbub’s core email inbox, making the most of all enquiries to maximise Hubbub’s impact and new opportunities. 

  • Supporting the set-up of paid ads across Hubbub’s social media and digital advertising accounts including Google and Microsoft Ads, Facebook / IG ads etc. 

  • Monitoring the impact of our communications and gathering insights using tools like google analytics, Hotjar and internal monitoring from social media platforms. 

  • Lead on uploading and optimising content to the Hubbub website, making sure it creatively communicates and reflects Hubbub’s campaigns, content and key messages. 

  • Supporting the development of relationships with external content collaborators to grow our audience and amplify our content.  

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • A passion for engaging and communicating with people in a way that’s sociable, playful and knowledgeable, and is rooted in insights based on evidence. 

  • Excellent written communications, including writing playful and engaging copy for websites and social media. 

  • Great organisation skills with strong attention to detail. 

  • Experience in supporting website(s) and SEO is welcomed but not essential. 

  • Experience in creating social media campaigns and digital advertisements, using Google Ads, Facebook / IG ads and Google Tag Manager is welcomed but not essential.  

  • Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud: Adobe Bridge, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign is welcomed but not essential.
