The important work we’re doing is shifting the future of transport and having an immediate impact on the lives of people who live in the remote communities where we operate. We’re based in Melbourne and continuing to open and operate in developing markets globally with our autonomous, electric, 3D printed aircraft underpinning transformational health outcomes.  We’ve got big plans and the necessary focus to shift the paradigm in both currently developing and developed markets.

About the role

To help us achieve our vision, we are looking for a talented and resourceful Aircraft builder. This role is responsible for the assembly and quality assurance of Swoop Aero’s fleet of next generation autonomous aircraft. This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the best engineering minds and create ground-breaking technology that has applications to support healthcare logistics networks right across the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble aircraft and supporting products

  • Identify and troubleshoot quality issues should they arise

  • Participate in technical team reviews to ensure manufacturability of product designs

  • Identify and/or make recommendations or implement opportunities to continuously improve production operations

  • Perform regular quality control assessments on outgoing aircraft

  • Track and manage production stock levels

  • Maintain and update production QC documentation

What you will bring to the role

  • Currently completing Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent discipline

  • Available 2 – 3 weekdays per week

  • Valid Driver’s license

  • Strong verbal & written communication skills

  • Ability to work individually and in teams while maintaining rigorous attention to detail required
