Job Description
The Senior Analyst will play a pivotal role in Comic Relief’s transformation into a being a data-led organisation, working with fundraising and creative teams to optimise campaign activity and reach new and existing audiences with relevant content through development and ownership of a multi-channel supporter selections approach. You are creative yet analytically rigorous, have a stellar track record delivering Advanced Analytics projects in a professional capacity, understand the difference between reports and insights, and believe that data at its most effective is a lever for affecting positive change.
Responsibilities
Develop an audience selections strategy and work closely with fundraising teams to implement a high-priority individual giving scheme
Perform deep-dive analyses of previous Red Nose Day/Sport Relief campaigns and become a source of knowledge for decision-making in support of future activity
Foster a culture of outstanding data literacy within the fundraising department
Work with engineers to prioritise and ensure quality of capture across the data pipeline – you have either worked in a technical team before, or are excited by the idea of taking a role in agile product development
Support the Data Lead in introducing Predictive Analytics and Personalisation capacity to the Comic Relief organisation
Provide leadership in effective data visualisation and storytelling to a small team of data engineers and analysts as they automate essential numbers-based reporting and become an insight generation capacity
Essential Education and Competencies
Experience working on an individual giving program or a B2C scheme in a targeted area such as CRM, loyalty, personalisation, membership
Excellent data storytelling skills, able to condense information into digestible and actionable insight for non-technical stakeholders
Highly numerate with fluency in statistics and their application to real-world problems
Proactive Data Champion able to accelerate data-driven decision-making at the highest organisation levels
Inquisitive, pragmatic, and exploratory mindset
Experience building dashboards and analysing data using a BI tool, ideally Tableau
Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to take briefs from multiple teams and prioritise own workload accordingly
SQL, with an understanding of databases and modern engineering principles
Desirable
Python or other programming or scripting language
CI/CD, Github
Able to work with open data sources and restful APIs
Experience working in an AWS environment
Experience working with Digital analytics tools and social media monitors, e.g. google analytics, Crimson Hexagon, falcon.io
Experience of working in an Agile development environment
