Selling as a distributor is complicated. Distributors carry hundreds of thousands of complicated SKUs, making it impossible for distributors to know what their customers need. The Role

We are looking for a growth-oriented salesperson to join our foundational sales team. This salesperson would be responsible for nurturing inbound sales leads, prospecting and building pipeline, understanding the needs of C-level stakeholders, and ultimately converting those prospects to paying customers (with support from the rest of our team). The ideal candidate would have great customer empathy and a love for solving problems with technology.

What you'll do:

  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline, fostering inbound sales qualified leads and doing your own prospecting through the deal cycle from discovery to close.

  • Communicate compelling value propositions around Proton as a modern, CRM-like data platform built specifically for distributors.

  • Leverage your customer empathy to give value-centered business proposals.

  • Contribute to a close-knit, collaborative, and low-ego sales organization.

  • Expect some travel in a post-COVID world.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:

  • 2+ quota-carrying years of B2B sales experience.

  • Experience educating broad audiences (connecting stakeholders from various parts of the buying organization) about modern and complex concepts.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills - our sales cycle is accelerated when managed by a consultative, organized, and diligent sales rep.

  • Curiosity and interest in getting to learn B2B distribution. Empathy for our customers enhances our credibility.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a startup or small team environment.

  • Demand generation skills - there's no upper limit to your compensation at Proton, so you're encouraged to network and develop relationships in our industry.
