Job Description
The HarperCollins Center of Excellence (CoE) for finance are hiring for a Contracts Administrator, this role will report into the Head of Royalties and sit as part of the Royalties team. The purpose of this role is to accurately enter contract terms to calculate advances and royalties for HarperCollins authors.
Key accountabilities:
Support the Editorial teams and CoE Royalties by entering contractual information into the royalty system
Provide advice to affiliate editorial teams where appropriate
Offer general contractual assistance
Provide analysis of agencies'/authors’ previous terms
Flag up key issues and the implications of proposed contractual terms
Investigate and fix rejections in collaboration with the CoE team
Investigation of rejections on the system or queries from authors
Assisting CoE and general royalty department as required
Assist with reporting and system maintenance
Skills and Experience
Recent customer service experience, preferably in finance
Strong Excel skills
Ability to multitask and manage multiple and varying projects and tasks
Excellent problem solving and organisational skills with strong attention to detail
Able to provide exceptional service to our authors and affiliates and clearly explain complex information in an understandable way
Ability to listen and accurately record information
Language skills are advantageous to the role but not essential
