Overview of the role 

This is a commercial role, reporting into the CMO with responsibility for the generation of high quality leads to the sales teams in both the UK and US. The Demand Generation Manager will work closely with the channel marketing managers to plan and deliver marketing campaigns. They will own the conversion funnel working collaboratively with the sales team and the product team to drive inbound marketing, outbound sales and optimise lead conversion. The Demand Generation Manager will be responsible for innovating and continually testing different marketing activity to maximize lead generation and ROI.

The ideal candidate will be an expert in generating inbound traffic, with good understanding of digital marketing and a passion for delivering results.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Plan and drive demand generation activity, overseeing it from execution to analysis

  • Identify new programs that deliver a constant flow of qualified leads, across new and existing clients, whilst monitoring ROI and optimising CPA

  • Deliver against the weekly, monthly and quarterly lead generation targets

  • Support the CMO with the forecasting and modelling of quarterly lead generation targets

  • Hands on manage the paid social, paid search, PPL and retargeting channels

  • Initiate and manage a regular cadence of webinars, alongside the event manager

  • Work very closely with the channel marketing managers (Email, Social, Events, Product marketing and Content), supporting the channel marketing managers by providing the campaign plan and targets, including producing campaign and status reports and where required, chairing cross-department project delivery meetings

  • Co-ordinate all customer acquisition offers and promotions, working closely with sales, product and marketing colleagues

  • Research and develop effective value proposition and messaging for target segments and verticals

  • Devise an AMB plan to ensure the delivery of high-value content and touch points at the optimal moment in an account's discovery and sales journey, capturing and nurturing leads

  • Manage the development of content and collateral for ABM campaigns, working closely with the brand manager, content manager and product marketing manager

  • Define success metrics and own the performance analysis of demand generation activities, ensuring ongoing optimisation

  • Analyse marketing and sales data to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimisation to meet revenue targets

  • Track campaign ROI and influence the allocation of marketing spend based on past performance, adjusting planned budget allocation in line with earnings and in-line with annual growth plans

  • Track lead lifecycle and conversion rates from prospect to closed deal

  • Manage the marketing operations at DeepCrawl. Create and optimise the reporting dashboards that would provide full transparency across the funnel for the team decision makers, ideally in real time.

  • Work closely with the sales operations team to set-up appropriate lead management, scoring and reporting processes within Salesforce

  • Report on website performance including traffic to lead, cost per lead and ROI

  • Support the partnerships team to acquire and engage new partners


Key Outputs 

  • Achieve lead generation target each quarter (reporting every week and month)

  • Manage the demand generation budget, reporting and ROI

  • Hands on run and optimise the performance marketing channels: paid search, paid social and retargeting 

  • Initiate and execute effective ABM and lead nurture programmes

  • Own marketing operations


Key Experience and knowledge

  • 3-5 years demand generation marketing experience, ideally from a B2B company

  • Extensive hands-on experience of running performance marketing campaigns across paid social (facebook, twitter and Linkedin) as well as paid search, retargeting and PPL (pay per lead)

  • Experience in running successful B2B ABM campaigns targeting enterprises

  • Extensive knowledge of Demand Generation best practices and demonstrated ability to generate leads

  • Hands-on experience using Salesforce or similar CRM software

  • Experience of managing multi-channel marketing campaigns in a B2B, SaaS environment

  • Direct experience with marketing automation software (such as Hubspot),CRM (SalesForce) as well as a good understanding of marketing automation systems, lead scoring and attribution

  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Data suite and experience running detailed campaign reporting

  • Strong project management skills

  • Problem solver with a growth hacking mentality

  • Zapier is your friend

  • Experience working within a SaaS company  - a plus

  • Experience working with Wordpress - a plus

  • SQL / Programming basic know-how - a plus
