About the Role

We seek a highly motivated individual with strong organizational skills to join the Sales team. The qualified candidate must be able to prioritize and assist in driving the Sales team’s new and existing account development initiatives, along with the ability to clearly communicate & coordinate with internal cross-functional teams and retail partners. This role is critical to the continued success of the organization, as a key member of the Sales Team, focusing on high-value activities central to achieving and exceeding the company’s revenue and profit projections.  Strong candidates must possess keen attention to detail, flexible mind-set, and strong communication/collaboration skills along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

The Sales & Business Development Associate will report to our Vice President of Sales & Business Development. This position can work remote, but must be located in the following states: CT, GA, KS, MI, NY, NJ, RI, PA, or TN; and must be available during Eastern Time Zone hours. Very Great has an office space in NYC to work from if you’d prefer a hybrid experience. This position pays $ 25/hour.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Sales Managers in creating and executing eCommerce & in-store launch strategies developing story-telling tools including marketing & merchandising plans, focused on selling new and existing innovation into a wide variety of omni-channel retailers

  • Utilize data, marketing insights, product development knowledge & market intelligence to help inform, develop, and execute sales strategies with an omni-channel approach.

  • Assist with creating internal tools & resources to more effectively organize, service and grow our customer base

  • Manage new business inquiries and outbound sales efforts to existing customers, focused on growing our business while offering exceptional sales/service support to our retail partners

  • Inform Brand & Sales Management on customer needs, opportunities, product and marketplace trends to help inform opportunities to better serve our Retail Partners and ultimately our Consumers

  • Attend and participate in sales, marketing, brand & operations meetings, providing account status, updates on deliverables and planning for future opportunities.

  • Manage & execute retail customer needs including but not limited to item set-up, content management, order communication, product updates, and marketing, pricing & promotional activity.

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree and suggested one year of work experience. Previous experience in retail, sales, eCommerce or marketing. 

  • Strong organizational skills, flexible attitude, attention to detail, aptitude for working with many people, and ability to deal with a rapidly shifting workload

  • Proactive, professional, positive attitude, self-motivated and the ability to work collaboratively.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite
