Job Description

About Swoop Aero:

Swoop Aero was founded to transform how the world moves essential supplies by making access to the skies seamless. We were the first company globally to deliver a vaccine using a drone under a commercial contract. Since then, we've expanded globally, transforming the health supply chain with drone logistics operations in four countries.

The work we’re doing is shifting the future of healthcare. We are having an immediate impact on the lives of people who live within the communities our operations are conducted in. Lots of companies say they have an impact but we really have one. We’ve got big plans to shift the paradigm in both developing and developed markets alike, both by deploying our fully managed logistics service into the health supply chain, and providing selected partners with our technology platform to further expand their impact.

To deliver on our vision, we’ve brought together a team of eternally optimistic and resourceful ‘doers’ to tackle these seemingly insurmountable problems and make all this become a reality. Last year we tripled our team size, and this year despite all the challenges we are doing it again.

About you:

So, what next? With our experienced team and strong capital backing, we’re working to build our global team and expand operations across multiple markets. We are seeking a dynamic Australian Operations Manager who is eager to take advantage of new possibilities and oversee the controlled growth of our impact.

Our ideal candidate will have previous aviation experience, hold a CASA issued remote pilot license and IREX – Instrument Rating examination pass. Beyond aviation and technical skills, you will bring a collaborative method of working and a proven track record of executing complex initiatives and projects on time. You are a natural communicator who is able to empower those around you to learn, adapt and strive for operational excellence.

About the role:

This is more than a standard aviation role. You will contribute to the organisation’s strategic priorities by providing insights into the Australian market conditions, identifying opportunities and implementing initiatives that support ongoing growth.

In this position you will be part of the launch Australia's first ever Medical drone Logistics network, leading a team of passionate professionals who are focused on growing our impact in Australia. You will join our enthusiastic operations team and contribute to our phenomenal team culture by empowering collaboration and individual accountability.

You will develop network expansion plans, provide hands-on execution of R&D test flights, lead network analysis efforts and oversee our national operations team. You will have a strong commitment to providing a safe environment for all our team and partners, while maintaining a high standard of safety compliance and effective management systems.

Interested?
If you believe you match the criteria, are passionate about changing people’s lives and have what it takes to be at the forefront of transforming the global healthcare supply chain we would love to hear from you!
