Job Description
We’re looking for a brilliant Mortgage Servicing Manager

We’re looking for a Mortgage Servicing Manager who will lead delivery of a positive customer experience for our existing books of mortgages. You will lead on all aspects of post completion oversight, decisioning and supplier management to ensure our customers receive fantastic service and support. This role is in the driving seat in management of all aspects of our mortgage portfolios, stakeholder and supplier management and requires exceptional mortgage knowledge, operational brilliance as well as desire to innovate around the customer at every step.
More about what you’ll do:
Manage and develop the third parties relationships related to servicing, to ensure there is appropriate oversight and customer promises are being kept
Actively engage in wider company projects to launch innovative propositions and support the company mission and where applicable develop wider learning for mortgage servicing in a pragmatic and fast way.
Support the CEO and the wider team in communicating with external stakeholders such as investors, third party suppliers and regulators.
Create and drive delivery of the first line quality assurance function for Mortgage Servicing and optimise our credit risk policy in collaboration with our investors, as required.
Support the relationships with our third party suppliers and be the main point of escalation for any issues
Manage receipt, review and onward transmission of accurate monthly servicing reporting packs, together with conducting quality checks
Find ways to improve customer experience through the mortgage lifecycle (for example challenging existing ways of working, if you think we can improve the delivery or create a better outcome)
Prepare reports (attend as required to present) to our Group Risk & Compliance Committee
Manage all mortgage servicing referrals, solving and providing decision and direction on a diverse range of queries
You’ll have:
Deep knowledge of the mortgage primary and special servicing processes
Understanding of mortgage origination and underwriting, having ideally held a mandate to make decisions on a portfolio of loans or in underwriting of mortgage loans
Strong knowledge of the UK mortgage market and relevant regulations, particularly MCOB
A track record of positive, effective relationship management of 3rd party suppliers
Experience in multi-stakeholder project management, especially in delivering technical integration with external partners
Experience in identifying, delivering and making a success of innovation and process improvements
A passion for customer excellence and quality outcomes
Excellent attention to detail with previous experience in conducting 1st line Quality Assurance checks
Be open to change and resilient in the face of ambiguity
