Summary of role: Anthesis is a global sustainability and solutions consultancy offering services to clients in many different business sectors. The engineering team within Anthesis supports the rest of the business and their clients with engineering knowledge and consultancy, and in designing and seeing through the delivery of services projects. Our typical projects involve developing carbon and energy reduction strategies for a wide range of clients including large international businesses up to design and implementation of: -

· PV systems

· Energy Centre and heat network strategies, including wider electrical and heating infrastructure as well as CHP and heat pump systems integration.

· Lighting – LED lighting and controls retrofits.

This is a wide-ranging, senior role undertaking a variety of technical engineering consulting projects, including housing developments, distributed heat networks, local authorities and systems for commercial businesses. This covers energy demand and infrastructure analysis, low carbon energy strategies, and renewable energy generation. Key areas of the role will include design, project management, client management, developing new propositions, supporting construction and operations plus strategic input to the rapid growth of our established team.

Key Responsibilities:

· Undertake site electrical infrastructure surveys, review test reports and documentation in connection with existing electrical systems to ascertain overall site performance.

· Electrical design, with particular focus on energy efficiency and electrical generation and storage.

Advise on carbon emissions on new and existing installations and provide quantitative recommendations on improvements.

Take responsibility for the technical delivery of outline and detailed electrical design, preparing schedules, drawings and specifications and assisting with project delivery including support for the full project lifecycle, working closely with the projects and contracts team to provide installation and commissioning support.

· LV/HV distribution system design, instrumentation, switchgear and cable sizing, design of lighting and lighting control systems, PV systems, containment, fire alarms and security systems.

Project management including the co-ordination of technical, commercial and procurement advice from internal and external associates. Delivering projects on time and on budget to high customer satisfaction

Manage multiple client relationships, liaise with clients to determine their requirements, assist clients with on-going enquires.

Achieving project profitability. Tracking costs, managing and forecasting spend, ensuring that work is kept to budget. Manage resources. Manage invoicing. Knowledge/expertise required:

Able to design the full suite of building electrical services, particularly power distribution (including cable sizing and protection studies) and lighting systems.

Client and stakeholder management (internal and external) and expectation management, interpersonal and communication skills, promotion of excellent working relationships.

Industry standard design and calculation software e.g. AutoCAD or Revit, Amtech, Dialux

A good appreciation of mechanical services in particular building fabric efficiencies and HVAC systems.

Chartered Engineer or to be proactively working towards chartered status with a relevant body.

Full UK driving licence is required as this role requires travel around client sites
