Summary of Role:

Anthesis is continuing to build out its sustainability regulatory team across Europe. Our team works with clients to deal with new sustainability-related regulations across the UK, Europe and the US relating to the financial services industry: banking, asset and fund management and insurance.

We are seeking a results-driven ESG regulatory consulting specialist to assist our clients to implement and develop regulatory compliance strategies. You will be used to reviewing documentation and procedures, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on compliance-related issues, and helping clients to review and improve their compliance with ESG regulations.

You will need to understand ESG regulations for financial services such as SFDR, MIFID2 and the EU Taxonomy for European markets and will have or can develop a good understanding of regulations in the United Kingdom such as SDR and FCA regulations.

You will have a good understanding of the banking and asset management markets and regulations, and potentially insurance markets and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interviewing executives, managers, and employees of clients to ascertain ESG compliance-related priorities and the current status of ESG compliance.

  • Reviewing documentation, processes, and practices.

  • Developing sustainability regulatory compliance strategies for clients.

  • Coordinating regulatory compliance procedures across organizational structures.

  • Providing training in sustainability regulatory practices and procedures.

  • Performing compliance reviews and compiling reports.

  • Documenting sustainability regulatory compliance-related processes and maintaining records.

  • Keeping abreast of regulatory changes and developments in the regulatory environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.

  • An accredited qualification in regulatory and compliance assurance will be advantageous.

  • More than five years’ work experience in a relevant financial industry.

  • At least two-three years experience as a regulatory compliance specialist, or similar.

  • Good knowledge of industry regulations and governing laws.

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
