The Role of Lead Product Designer:

As we continue to grow our business, we are on the hunt for a focused, self-starting person to take on a key role in our UK Design practice supporting our global client base across a variety of strategic design projects. 

Reporting to the Associate Experience Design Director, the Lead Designer is responsible for owning and facilitating projects from beginning to end for key client engagements and working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Producing end-to-end, multi-channel customer experiences

  • Working with and collaborating with clients

  • Designing and facilitating immersive client workshops

  • Defining strategic experience visions & principles

  • Undertaking quantitative and qualitative UX research studies

  • Analysing and drawing insights and meaningful conclusions from this research 

  • Conceiving, developing, and testing concepts

  • Designing interfaces and experiences with the latest Prototyping, UI, and UX tools

  • Working with, validating, and building design systems and libraries

  • Mentoring and guiding junior team members


Requirements for the role:

  • Strong visual, written and personal presentational skills

  • Ability to work solo as well as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Experience in end-to-end product design from Discovery/research through to hi-fidelity designs and delivery

  • Extensive experience with design thinking or other relevant design methodologies

  • Extensive experience delivering a range of product and design outputs (e.g. primary/secondary research, creation of service blueprints, journey maps, persona, wireframing, prototyping, user flows, heuristic evaluation, usability testing etc.)

  • Expertise with design tools, such as Sketch, Figma, ProtoPie, etc.

  • Expertise designing and facilitating workshops

  • Ability to think strategically

  • Ability to apply a range of research and testing techniques

  • Experience guiding and mentoring junior team members

  • Ability to travel as required (minimal)

 
Nice to have but not essential:

  • Motion design experience i.e. After Effects

  • Proven experience in designing and delivering enterprise-scale digital products and services
