Summary of the Role 

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to lead our growing scope 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting service offerings. Your role will focus on developing and delivering innovative solutions to help companies in a wide array of industries account for the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from their extended value chains. A key focus will be developing solutions that enable the accurate and manageable tracking of emissions performance along company supply chains. 

Responsibilities  

  • Develop and run deployment of our strategy to respond to client challenges related to scope 3 GHG accounting, including responding to the accounting needs generated by SBT and NZ targets 

  • Work with global corporate carbon service delivery teams to further the development of the company’s innovative offerings on scope 3 GHG accounting  

  • Oversee project delivery strategy, including recruitment and development of team and tools 

  • Actively demonstrate thought leadership  

  • Integrate digital solutions to enhance delivery and project outcomes to clients 

  • Independently drive and build relationships with key clients, and lead client delivery teams for a diverse project portfolio 

  • Spearhead appropriate business development strategy  

Key Requirements 

  • Deep understanding of, and substantive experience in, corporate GHG accounting and lifecycle analysis, including relevant standards and data sets (e.g., GHG Protocol Scope 3 Standard, ISO 14044:2006) 

  • Proven expertise in developing a community of practice, e.g. bringing experts together for purposes of enhancing group knowledge, and enabling shared tools and tactics 

  • Experience in developing and applying tools and approaches for calculating the scope 3 emissions from purchased goods and services  

  • 5+ years’ experience in delivering corporate sustainability projects 

  • Strong communication and consulting skills 

  • Excellent project management skills 

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and growing client relationships 

  • Experience preparing successful projects for innovative scopes of work related to GHG accounting
