We’re looking for a General Counsel

We’re looking for a General Counsel to lead our fantastic in-house legal team and make a big impact with all our exciting plans.

You’ll play a critical role in leading the in-house legal function and making an important contribution as a key member of Habito’s senior leadership team. You’ll drive the legal team’s vision and continually evolve the strategy to underpin this success, managing the team’s day-to-day work and shouting about them across the business.

More about what you’ll do:

• Drive the vision for the four person in-house legal team, and effectively communicate that vision and strategy throughout Habito’s senior leadership team and the entire organisation

• Manage and support the legal team’s day-to-day work, helping each member of the team do their best work and fostering the team’s collaboration and alignment

• Lead all legal aspects of Habito’s equity and debt capital raises to both fuel our fast growth as well as our mortgage lending capabilities

• Oversee Habito’s broad array of commercial legal matters, including the negotiation of key contracts with partners and suppliers, managing data flows and the critical IP work streams to safeguard and promote Habito’s best interests

• Work closely with our People team to advise on material employment law matters and key work streams relating to our employee share option scheme

• Collaborate with our outsourced company secretary and align with key Habito stakeholders to ensure that Habito is always on top of all company secretarial matters

• Work closely with our internal risk & compliance and finance teams to ensure that Habito is continually developing its corporate governance framework to allow for our continued fast growth in a carefully controlled and regulated environment
