Are you an experienced Sales or Business Development professional with a proven track record in building client relationships and delivering growth?

We are recruiting for a Business Development Associate to join our close-knit team at Seneca. Reporting to the Commercial Director, this role will entail developing our market presence and increasing sales activity whilst strengthening our relationship with our current client base.

The Role

- Presenting Seneca to new and existing clients in a professional capacity.

- Opening enquiring conversations (telephone and face to face) with prospective clients – this is a core skill requirement.

- Be inquisitive, articulate, engaging and able to target clients that fit our business model with a view to securing new business.

- Pre-qualify new business opportunities to ensure that they meet our target profile.

- Client meetings, site visits and audits.

- Collation and maintenance of accurate prospect information.

- Analysis of the market, new business opportunities, competitor activity and the production of reports as required.

- Regular reporting of sales activity.

- Work alongside the Commercial Director to develop and deliver strategic targets.

- Development and management of recycling and recovery end markets.

- Development and management of logistics routes and supply chains.

- Ongoing liaison with operational colleagues to ensure that new business fits with our capabilities and infrastructure.

About you

You will possess strong demonstrable customer relationship and market analysis skills with a proven track record in business to business sales. Background knowledge of the Waste industry is desirable not essential.
