Job Description

The Opportunity

We are on the lookout for a talented and proactive bilingual (French/English) Operations Specialist to provide the link between Eve and our operations partners (suppliers, carriers, warehouses). Sitting right in the heart of the Operations team and reporting into the Head of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for ensuring we have stock availability across our product ranges and customers receive the best possible delivery experience.

As an Operations Specialist, you will spend your time across both Supply Chain and Logistics functions. You will work with our suppliers across Europe to ensure orders for our products (everything from candles to bed frames) are delivered on time into our warehouses to the highest standards.

You will ensure our stock accuracy is maintained by working closely with our 3PLs, and that products are available to our customers on our website. Working cross-functionally with both the demand and dispatch specialists, you will manage the distribution of our products by planning carrier capacity and delivery dates, whilst supporting our Customer Experience team to ensure a first-class customer journey.

You’ll also manage the E2E(End to End) communication and process for our B2B partners (including Argos, Shop Direct and Vente Privee) ensuring we hit our promises on time and in full.

There has never been a more exciting or challenging time to work in eCommerce Operations, as more customers than ever are migrating from “bricks” to “clicks”, changing previously established service and quality expectations. This role provides incredible exposure to the leading edge of retail fulfilment, with all of the development opportunities associated.

This position would suit a candidate with supply/order management experience or in the FMCG retail sector.

The day-to-day stuff

  • Working alongside our Operations Specialists, act as the key point of contact between eve and our suppliers globally to manage our inbound stock & outbound fulfilments.

  • Plan the distribution of our made to order products with our manufacturers to ensure orders can be fulfilled and our customer promises are met.

  • Coordinate the inbound shipping of POs with all suppliers and warehouses and ensure inbound guidelines & Supplier OTIF is maintained.

  • Run our B2B partnerships (such as Shop Direct, Argos, Vente Privee) to ensure orders are fulfilled on time.

  • Proactively manage our backorders, providing timely updates to the customer's experience team to allow them to deliver a first-class customer experience.

  • Maintain our stock accuracy by leading on month-end reconciliation processes.

  • Become a specialist in our operational systems (Shopify, Netsuite) and develop new processes with our product team to improve efficiency and performance.

We will love you if you are:

  • Fluent in English & French

  • Strong excel skills and comfortable with data sets and sheets

  • Like to work with new systems, root causing issues and using insights to improve accuracy and efficiency

  • Enjoy a fast pace ‘start-up to scale-up’ environment, exceptionally organised & forward-thinking

  • Passionate about process and reporting, you spot the details that make a difference!

  • Strong & adaptable communication skills to translate issues/solutions to both external & internal stakeholders.

  • Well practised at using your initiative, have a can-do attitude & will always be wanting to learn & grow.

  • We care and respect each other at eve.  We look for those who do the same whilst building & maintaining relationships with others.

  • Building the eve culture is important to us and we want people who will contribute to this & join us on the journey of sleep wellness.

It would also be great if you have:

  • Previously worked with Netsuite & ERPs

  • Have relevant logistics or supply chain experience, having worked within a carrier 3PL environment or logistics/order management function within an FMCG industry company

What you will love about us:-

Aside from the role, the people, and our culture, we have a few other things that make eve a pretty amazing place to be:

  • No more sleepless nights. Once you have passed probation, you will receive a pillow and eve mattress on us! You will never have been so excited about a mattress and pillow.

  • You will have the choice to sign up to Vitality (private health insurance) on completion of probation! No costs for you which means 24/7 online GPs, access to great medical care, incentive points to get fit/stay fit, and seriously cool discounts.

  • Being a Sleep Wellness company, we recognise that our people are either an early bird or a night owl and we have flexible hours to help everyone be the best version of themselves.

  • Fancy an extra day off on your special day. We give you a day's leave (in addition to your 25 days) on your birthday. Celebrate in style!

  • We want you to learn and grow with us and if you are with us for over 2 years you receive an extra day’s holiday for every year of service up to a maximum of 30 days.

  • We are passionate about your growth and throughout the year want to understand your development through personal development guided conversations. We host various personal and professional learning opportunities.

  • Fancy finding out what all the fuss about yoga is about? Every week we head off into the world of Zoom for our weekly yoga class to help us unwind and relax.

  • We believe in wellness and want to support where we can. After three months, you can apply to our Cycle to Work scheme and invest in some wheels!

  • We believe Mental Health Support should be a basic human right and it is why we work with Spill who provide support in all different shapes and sizes to everyone at eve sleep.

  • When we were in the office we would set you up with a healthy brekkie for the day ahead and provide you with the fuel to get through the day.

  • What better way to relax than Thursday drinks? Rather than our normal get together in the office every Thursday we meet over Google Hangouts.  Some weeks we host games others we have a general chit chat over bubbles with one another.

  • We are always on the lookout for talented people to join the eve team. If you recommend someone for a role we are recruiting for, and they are successful, you will receive £500 once they complete their 3-month probation.

  • Recognising others success is important and Our Simply the Best recognition programme shines a light on those successes no matter how big or small.

  • Last but by no means least we have a lot of beautiful doggies who are part of the eve family and some even used to join their Mummy and Daddy in the office, though these days they say hello through Google Hangouts.
