Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy, fast-paced sales team providing support to Key Accounts and Group sales functions as well as the wider and busy UK Trade and Export Sales Team for the HarperFiction and HarperNonFiction lists.
The role will require an extremely high level of organisation and detail, as well as an ability to rapidly acquire a high level of competency on company systems and confident use of Microsoft Office applications. Most of all we’re looking for personable, bright individual who can learn quickly and use their own initiative. The candidate will ideally have a junior level of account management experience, or customer service experience as well as a love of reading, excellent inter-personal skills and be able to think creatively and bring new ideas.
This role offers the opportunity to gain great experience working on both incredible blockbuster authors (such as George RR Martin, Dawn O’ Porter, CL Taylor, Jay Shetty and Rob Beckett) as well as exciting new debut voices across our non-fiction and fiction lists within a dedicated and friendly wider team. There is also great sales experience to gain through establishing relationships with our key retail accounts as well as working with our Account Managers and Sales Directors.
Core responsibilities
Supporting the Sales Directors and Key Account Managers
Internal champion across brands and accounts to key stakeholders
Create internal and external PowerPoint, presentations, and Excel reports
Answer internal and customer queries quickly and effectively
Assist with author signings and signed stock
Liaise with the Field Sales team, Divisional Sales teams, Export Sales Teams, Marketing, PR, Distribution and Editorial, Commercial Finance
Raise any required marketing PO’s
Running reports and updating trackers
Organising sales materials
Experience required
Sales, administration, or customer services experience or knowlegde
