Job Description
Role outline and purpose
To review all processes/platforms which Trussell Trust uses to capture personal data (including but not restricted to employees, volunteers, contractors, donors, representatives of other organisations and service users) to ensure current practice is consistent with agreed processes and Data Protection Impact Assessments.
To assist Trussell Trust departments to create the correct documentation for changes to existing activities which involve personal data, or for new projects to ensure compliance with UK data protection law and regulation, including updating summary documents required to be kept by the ICO. (register of 3rd part processors, data retention schedules etc).
To provide general data protection support to Trussell Trust and the Foodbank Network.
Role responsibilities
Implement and monitor audits of current systems and processes against formation documents (DPIA, LIA, data retention schedule etc), designing audit and reporting process.
Assisting directorates and departments with the creation and review of DPIAs, LIAs, Privacy Notices etc for new or amended processes.
Maintenance of the documentation required by TT to meet ICO requirements (including Subject Access Requests).
Assisting the Safeguarding & Quality Manager to create templates and required support to assist the Network with their data protection requirements, and responding to Network queries.
Assisting with data protection training provision for TT and the Network.
Producing reporting within department and to directorate and Senior Leadership.
