POSITION SUMMARY 

The Centre for Public Impact (CPI) is a global non-profit foundation, launched by Boston Consulting Group, with a vision to reimagine government to work for everyone.  The CPI team in North America works with public servants and changemakers to develop breakthrough ideas and bring them to life. We make governments more empathetic, human, and collaborative so they can address pressing challenges and create a better future for all. We do this by being:

At CPI, we envision a world where the relationship between the public and the government is restored, resulting in policies that are truly designed to meet the needs of the public.

Through our Government Innovation work, we collaborate with local governments and their partners to create a new paradigm of public sector innovation that taps into the expertise of residents and frontline staff to address pressing societal challenges.


To that end, we are seeking a self-starter with several years of experience to work with on a government innovation project.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 


1.     Support Program Execution  

  • In consultation with the Program Manager manage and execute one or more workstream(s) of the project. This includes supporting the oversight of day-to-day activities of Associates

  • In consultation with the Program Manager, maintain open and ongoing communication with philanthropic partner team members and other stakeholders to ensure effective efficient program delivery

  • In consultation with the Program Manager, liaise with project participants, developing tools and coaching consistent with the goals of the program


2.    

Program Management 

  • In consultation with the Program Manager, provide day-to-day management and oversight project in close coordination with our external partners

  • Contribute inputs to status reports on progress to internal and external auditors 

  • Develop and foster relationships with key stakeholders with our partners, including communicating with and presenting to senior and executive level stakeholders

  • Provide day-to-day oversight of workstream operations to ensure that the program operates within the approved budget and deadlines

  • In partnership with the Program Manager, contribute to the strategy, design, and execution of key project milestones for participants 

  • In partnership with the Program Manager, identify, track, and report on overall success metrics for each phase of the project 


3.    

Thought Leadership  

  • Distill lessons learned from project work into higher level thought leadership that connects to CPI’s mission to reimagine government


POSITION REQUIREMENTS,

SKILLS AND CORE COMPETENCIES

We are seeking a high-energy, impact-minded individual with:

  • At least 4 years of relevant professional experience, in either an impact, policy, or service-oriented environment, or a consulting environment

  • Exceptional project management skills 

  • University degree with demonstrated high academic achievement in a relevant field (e.g., Public policy, economics, government, social entrepreneurship or similar). 

  • Demonstrable knowledge of and passion for public impact and social innovation, particularly at the local level 

  • Excellent managerial and interpersonal skills and a track record of developing people

  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively and manage senior-level stakeholder relationships
