Job Description

At Unreasonable, we believe entrepreneurs building rapidly scalable businesses are our best bet for solving the most significant social and environmental challenges of our time. Every day, our team strives to give the entrepreneurs we work with an unfair advantage. We do this by connecting entrepreneurs with the networks of mentors, investors, business leaders, and policy makers they need to scale their businesses. Today, the over 200 CEO’s in the Unreasonable Fellowship have raised more than $4.5B in financing, generated more than $3.5B in revenue, and are measurably impacting the lives of more than 530 million individuals in nearly every country and territory worldwide.

We are now searching for an associate to join our Global Portfolio team (the “Associate”); one who is a GYSHIDO master and voraciously passionate about research, execution, detailed  communication, and identifying investors worldwide positioned to put a positive dent on history. Directly reporting to the Managing Director (Global Portfolio) and working hand in hand with the entire Global Portfolio team, the Associate will be charged with researching various institutions, corporations and funding partners, while maintaining a detailed database of said investors. If you’re eager to break into the impact investing space and support some of the most promising entrepreneurs solving the world’s grandest challenges while learning from and working alongside a team of passionate individuals, then this just might be the job for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing our proprietary digital platform, keep Unreasonable’s private funder network up-to-date, logging investment interests of the over 1500 investors in our network and building out each funder’s profile to the highest level of detail to ensure Unreasonable Fellows are able to find targeted sources of capital that match their financing needs.

  • Conduct research to identify potential institutional investors, funders, foundations and other sources of capital globally

  • Track, manage, and update relevant data in regards to our investor relations CRM on a regular and continuous basis.

  • In conjunction with the Initiatives team, curate invitations for and ensure that the “right funders” are in the room for all Unreasonable Private Investor Gatherings (potentially 6-8 per year all around the world).

  • Collaborate with the Global Portfolio team to execute high-level investor gatherings as part of all Unreasonable programs and occasionally as stand alone events.

  • Assist with research relating to Unreasonable Global Fund investors.

  • Ensure the development and maintenance of FAQ documents, messaging, and other relevant materials specifically curated for investor related activities.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • You are someone who is truly passionate about supporting entrepreneurs who are applying wildly scalable business solutions to solving the world’s greatest challenges.

  • You see entrepreneurship as a driver of economic growth and an agent of global social and environmental change.

  • You have strong analytical skills for modeling data and processing information

  • You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills along with strong presentation skills

  • You love creating systems and implementing them across work streams.

  • You are extremely detail-oriented, especially when it comes to managing extensive data and information sets.

  • You work best on a fast-moving team that is collaborative, and when needed, you are also able to take full ownership of a project from start to finish without direct management or supervision.

  • When given clear direction, you are always a top performer on any task. If you haven’t done it before, you teach yourself rather than get deterred by the ambiguity.

  • You love research and take pride in deriving insights from arduous amounts of data

  • You think and operate strategically. You recognize what’s most important to tackle, in what order, and are prepared to make informed, independent decisions.

  • You approach problem-solving with an open mind and are willing to take a leadership position with your peers to ensure best practices become standard.

  • You believe deeply in the importance of transparent and honest communication in what you write and how you interact with your team.

  • You always follow up and follow through.

  • As you read about Unreasonable’s core values, you get more and more excited with each value you come across.
