We need a brilliant compliance officer

Our Risk & Compliance team works across the whole business to give our customers a fair, safe and compliant service. We’re looking for an experienced compliance officer with a strong understanding of compliance disciplines  and FCA principles to join us.

Your job will be to make sure everything we do is in line with both regulation and Habito’s own high standards and policies. You’ll review basically everything – our website, customer journeys, conversations with customers, underwriting activities, and more. You’ll work with teams across Habito to guide them on all things compliance, offer support when issues arise, and help build better things for customers.

You don't need experience in lending compliance necessarily but a strong background in compliance at a financial services firm, with demonstrable experience in managing compliance tasks, building compliance tools and providing assurance on regulatory matters.

More about what you’ll do

• Carry out compliance assessments, thematic reviews and deep dives. You’ll analyse issues if they come up, and help us understand their regulatory, commercial and reputational impacts.

• Talk to our customer teams about their cases and conversations. Give them feedback on specific cases – both good stuff and areas for improvement.

• Do due diligence for customers, partners and suppliers.

• Keep an eye on what’s happening in the wider compliance landscape, and keep the team informed about the latest changes and thinking.

• Help us make our compliance processes better. We’re always open to different ideas, and trying out new ways of working.

• Be a champion for risk and compliance. Help us train and educate people across Habito.
