Job Description
UK Community Foundations are the membership organisation for 47 UK community foundations; the only national network of charitable funders with a physical presence in every part of the UK and the UK’s 4th largest funder.
We are currently using a legacy system built with Salesforce Classic and shared with 42 of the member organisations. We are though at the start of a huge digital transformation project, which will transform the way we work and support our communities, as we are gearing up for a complete rebuild of our system and move towards individual Salesforce systems.
This role of Systems Administrator reports into the Network Digital Transformation Lead and will initially cover our existing system and be an integral part of the implementation and ongoing support of the new system and structure.
This is a Temp to Perm role initially on a one-year contract, before moving to a permanent role within the new network Systems Admin support structure.
Responsibilities
All aspects of user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups
Configure, enhance, and simplify the current system to increase UKCF usage across donor management, grant making, member management and finance.
Support the UKCF Programmes team in delivering national grants via Salesforce, from fund creation to impact monitoring.
Carry out basic administrative functions and configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Workflow, Process Builder, fields, page layouts, record types, custom settings, dashboards, and reports
Support the scoping of the requirements for our existing and new Salesforce build, testing proposed systems improvements within the sandbox before implementing into the Live environment
Support the migration of data and processes from the legacy version of Salesforce to the new Salesforce
Automate processes using Salesforce tools such as Workflow, Process Builder, approval processes, validation rules.
Handle day-to-day maintenance of Salesforce, tracking system errors and running health checks.
Handle data imports and create templates for users to provide data for upload.
Work closely with Salesforce leads from across our 42 members to bring learning to the network, share best practices, and to troubleshoot any issues.
Train users and grow our Salesforce skill set across the network.
Maintain and improve our existing Salesforce training videos and documentation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required

Gathering requirements and proposing technical solutions
Training users and creating training materials
Understanding of Salesforce sharing and security (roles, profiles, permissions, OWD, sharing rules)
Experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes including (but not limited to): Workflow, Process Builder, fields, page layouts, record types, custom settings, dashboards and reports
Experience managing GDPR and understanding of cyber security / information security
Desirable
Experience with Salesforce NPSP, and if possible, grant making via Salesforce
Experience in the charity / non-profit sector
Experience of Salesforce Classic
Qualifications
Required
Salesforce Product Knowledge and at least 18 months hands on administration experience
Trailhead Badges/Super Badges
