The B Corp Movement

B Lab UK is the home of the B Corp movement, a community of over 1,300 UK businesses who meet high standards of social and environmental performance, legal accountability, and transparency. Some B Corps you might have heard of include Innocent Drinks, Patagonia, Tony’s Chocolonely, Finisterre, Jude’s Ice Cream and WeTransfer. Our goal is to transform our economy so that all businesses can be a force for good - and we’re looking for people who can help us get there.

The role 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a passion for communication and customer success to join our team. You will work within B Lab UK’s Growth and Product Team, providing critical support and guidance to companies embarking on the B Corp journey and helping us manage the growing demand for certification.

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing excellent customer service to companies wanting to become Certified B Corporations, helping them to understand the process and supporting them with any queries or issues that arise

• Building a holistic view of communication with prospective B Corps, owning the comms journey, finding efficiencies in communication and automating this where possible (via our communication platform, Pardot)

• Maintaining a list of internal and external FAQs, identifying gaps and creating new resources

• Managing company enquiries to the Growth & Product Team, assigning tasks to team members and resolving queries

• Creating mechanisms for gathering customer feedback, analysing patterns and themes and identifying opportunities to improve the team’s processes, resources and ways of working

• Assisting the team in managing the pipeline of companies seeking B Corp certification

• Assisting the UK team to ensure companies are prepared to submit their application for B Corp Certification and are set up for success in the review process

• Assisting on team projects, for example developing resources such as B Corp guides and email campaigns

• Event and webinar coordination

Who you are 

Essential skills and experience 

• You have professional experience in a customer or client facing role

• You have excellent written and oral communication skills, demonstrable through previous experience in a client or customer facing role 

• You take an analytical approach to solving day-to-day problems as they arise

• You have good organisation skills, able to multitask and balance multiple priorities

• You use your initiative, are proactive and flexible - you enjoy rolling up your sleeves and getting things done

• You are a quick learner, able to get to grips with new systems and processes

• You are interested in the business community’s potential to have a positive impact on people and planet

• You are eligible to work in the UK (we do not hold a sponsorship licence and therefore will not be able to provide visa sponsorship)

Desirable skills but not essential and can be developed in the role

• Experience using a CRM or managing a team inbox (experience with Salesforce and Freshdesk or similar would be a plus)

• Experience coordinating events and / or webinars

• Experience working with remote teams in a fast-paced, international environment

• Familiarity with these (or comparable) platforms: Salesforce, Pardot, Asana, Slack, Google Suite

After the initial selection, the interview process will consist of two panel interviews, which may be conducted remotely or in person.
