What we’re looking for
This position requires a self-motivated individual with a strong QA/Scripting background. Prior programming or automation experience to handle responsibilities spanning all phases of software development. You will be responsible for writing new automated tests, maintaining the infrastructure necessary to run that automation and documenting these processes. In early development phases, you will be asked to develop an automation test plan in cooperation with HW and SW engineering to cover the testing of new features. As development progresses, you will work closely with engineers to build and maintain automated test suites and infrastructure and produce internal documentation. Once tests are mature, you will execute these tests to collect and analyze results and use this data to identify, reproduce, and isolate HW/SW bugs related to unreleased Senseye products. Upon release, you will help diagnose and facilitate fixing software bugs and updating external documentation with solutions to common problems.
Own the CI/CD pipeline.
Perform code reviews and approve new updates for future releases for all of our products.
Create detailed, comprehensive, well-structured test plans and test cases.
Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools.
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
Any other duties needed to help drive to our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization's values
The Technologies We Use
Ability to create, modify and execute tests for hardware/software at the system level.
Hands on experience with automated testing tools and software quality assurance.
Hands on coding and scripting experience to support the test framework, automation, and tool development (Python and Bash scripting preferred).
Ability to collaborate with peers, and cross-functionally with other engineers and team leads.
Ability to identify high customer impact issues and drive them to resolution with the partnered teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience presenting data to cross-functional teams and/or management.
Technical writing skills in order to help provide external documentation for our products
Experience with ensuring data integrity and persistence is a major plus.
BS EE/CS/CE is preferred but not required.
Equivalent work experience (at least a year)
