About the position:

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing, early stage company in a dynamic, impactful industry. The Client Services Manager will play a key role in ensuring the quality of BlueMark’s verification service delivery, working closely with the team to (1) provide leadership and oversight on specific client engagements, (2) work with junior team members to develop staffing plans for engagements that are responsive to individual professional development goals and capacity considerations, and (3) identify, design, and implement enhancements that improve the value, efficiency, and impact of our offerings. The Client Services Manager role will report to the Director of R&D and will be instrumental in helping to grow a new pioneering business. With a majority of BlueMark’s client services staff based in New York City, the Client Services Manager will also help to manage the New York office. 

 The primary responsibilities for this role include:

  • Oversee staffing/resourcing of team members to internal and client-facing projects, taking into consideration individual team members’ areas of expertise, capacity, and professional development goals. 

  • Oversee specific client engagements, including managing client relationships and providing guidance and direction-setting for the internal team

  • Work with different functional groups across BlueMark (business development, R&D, finance) to identify opportunities to enhance the delivery of our services, with a focus on internal process improvements 

  • Develop and maintain internal process guides and templates to ensure consistency in the delivery of BlueMark services

  • Ensure client engagements are delivered in line with business goals, including monitoring and reporting out on project profitability, timeliness, staffing, and risks

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years of experience, preferably in an operations or project management role

  • Management experience, including mentoring and coaching teams with diverse professional backgrounds

  • Track record of collaborating with direct and indirect reports and peers as well as managing project teams to deliver results

  • Strong project management skills

  • Experience and aptitude working in an external client-facing role

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with high attention to detail and organization 

  • Knowledge of impact investing and impact management required

  • What will the hiring process look like?

  • Hiring Process: Our timeline from the application close date to decision typically takes ~5-6 weeks. Below are the steps week by week:

  • Week 1-2 - Applications are blind-reviewed after the application close date: Our process is designed to remove bias by having your application answers randomly assigned to our team for review. Two team members score the responses based on a set of guidelines. The candidates with the highest average scores get invited to the interview round. We do not look at resumes and we do not know whose answers we are scoring. We embrace a diversity of working styles and backgrounds and believe that limiting applications to resumes fails to capture the full potential of an individual.

  • Week 2-4 - Behavioral Interview - The first interview is a 45-minute structured interview with non-senior team members.

  • Week 4-6 - Senior Management Interview: The candidates with the highest average scores from the first round interview are invited to a second structured interview with Senior Management.
