Job Description
Role: Management Accountant
Reporting to: Finance Manager
Direct Reports: None
Based: Camden / Homeworking
Salary: £32,000
Duration: Fixed-term from August 2021 to February 2022
Working days: 4 or 5 days per week.
Eve Sleep plc is an online retailer of beds, mattresses and other sleep related products operating in UK, France and Ireland. The business started in 2015 and floated on the AIM market in 2017. The company is based in Camden and has around 60 employees including 5 in the Finance team. Currently everyone is working from home and a whilst a gradual return to the office will take place from September, it is expected that home working will remain for part of the week.
We are seeking a Management Accountant for a fixed term of just over 6 months to support the team during a particularly busy period.
Core Responsibilities will include:
Wholesale
For 10-15 wholesale partners:
Reconcile fulfilments and raise invoices
Track and report on profitability
Calculate revenue accruals, deferrals and refund provisions
Calculate and post fee journals
Reconcile payments
Credit control
Stock and Logistics
Check stock reports and ensure cost of goods is correctly recorded
Track, allocate and report on logistics costs from various carriers
Statutory returns
UK and International VAT
Intrastat
Month-end
Calculate and post accruals
Assist with prepayments
Review overheads and post-adjustment journals
Other
Reconcile bank accounts
Provide support on accounts payable reconciliations
Point of contact for internal customer services team for finance-related queries
Essential skills/experience required:
Similar Role
At least 12 months prior experience in a similar role
Accuracy
Attention to detail and accuracy at all times
Systems
Use of ERP systems similar to NetSuite.
Excellent Excel skills
Personality
Highly collaborative, unafraid to cross the room and have a chat with any of the eve team.
Approach
To be successful in a small finance team this role requires someone with a flexible approach who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves when required.
Preferred skills/experience required:
Qualifications
Good A-Levels. Part qualified ACCA or CIMA.

Knowledge of NetSuite would be highly advantageous.

Knowledge of payment processing providers such as Adyen and Paypal would be useful
