Senior Content Designer

Working as a senior content designer at the Equality and Human Rights Commission, you will write, develop and optimise content for a range of digital channels, ensuring it’s clear, engaging, creative and accessible.

Already a highly skilled and experienced content creator and copywriter, you will take pride in the simple content you produce and bring an energy to help others reach the same high standards.

You will have extensive experience of using content management systems and be confident applying accessibility best practice and presenting agile solutions for accessible content. Including Knowledge of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) along with using SEO and analytics tools to optimise content.

You will line manage at least one content officer and help upskill colleagues and create a transformative culture in which everyone strives to deliver the very best content there is - and to make a real difference to people’s lives.

The Content and Channels team

This is a key role within the Communications Directorate of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, working across delivery teams and in close partnership with colleagues throughout the organisation. As part of the Content and Channels team, you will apply best practice in first-class digital content and user-centred content.  

You will be working in a creative environment helping ensure our content is relevant, optimised and fully accessible. The team will be striving to keep on top of digital trends and developments, so our content is constantly improving.
