Sporting Events Assistant (Feb - August Fixed Term Contract)

As part of the Fundraising Team, the Sporting Events Assistant will report to the Workplace Fundraising Manager and work with the Sports Partnership Lead to ensure that groups of fundraisers taking part in sporting challenges over summer 2019 receive excellent stewardship and support.

Key Accountabilities / Objectives

  • Deliver outbound communications to fundraisers taking part in Race to the Stones and TriFest on the phone, over e-mail and by post

  • Build strong relationships with fundraisers, supporting participants to maximise their fundraising

  • Collecting fundraising stories and permissions for marketing and fundraising purposes

  • Respond to inbound enquires relating to the events

  • Support at events and external visits when required

  • Clearly record all interactions with fundraisers on the database and lead on tracking all fundraising income for these events

  • Work with Sporting Partnerships Lead and Workplace Fundraising Manager to identify and deliver new fundraising events

Essential Education and Skills

  • Solid customer service experience

  • Some experience fundraising event support

  • Experience of providing high-level administrative support

  • Experience of using MS Windows (Excel and PowerPoint) and databases
