JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Job Title: Charityworks Graduate Leadership Development Trainee (Fast Track)

  • Employer: One of our Charityworks partner organisations

  • Location: Placements will take place in leading non-profit organisations across a number of locations across the UK

  • Hours: Usually 9am - 5pm with some flexibility according to the requirements of the placement and your host organisation

  • Hours (Development Days): Fast-Track development days will take place during the Easter break in April 2020 before the Charityworks Assessment Centres.

  • Contract: Fixed term, 12 months commencing from September 2020

PERSON SPECIFICATION

To apply for the Charityworks Fast-Track you must meet the following eligibility criteria. Please note that we do make exceptions for these criteria on a case by case basis. Qualification: You must be either in your final year of university or a graduate (any year) and be expected to attain (or have already attained) a 2:1 at degree level (or equivalent) OR a Master’s in any subject.*

Experience: You must have an interest in or desire to learn more about working in the non-profit sector or be seeking to obtain a placement on the Charityworks programme starting from September 2020.*

Background: You must be from a Black, Asian or Minority ethnic background (BAME) including mixed backgrounds.

Skills: Ability to competently use basic IT software packages (e.g. Microsoft Office or equivalent), which may include any adaptations/adjustments as required.*

Competencies: Due to the fact that we partner with a range of organisations to gain experience in a vast number of varied roles, it is not possible to provide a detailed job description that applies to all positions at this stage. We will be looking for candidates that are motivated by an opportunity to explore the non-profit sector as a career path and in particular, are committed to their own personal development.

There are 8 core competencies which we believe enable you to succeed in the sector, and by which we assess applicants to our Charityworks Graduate Programme. We'll look for these competencies during your time on the Taster Programme should you wish to be fast-tracked to our graduate scheme.
