Satellite Applications Catapult

To Innovate for a Better World, Empowered by Space

About us

The Satellite Applications Catapult is looking for people who want to make a difference and work in an evolving, innovative and forward-thinking organisation.

We are at the heart of the satellite services revolution, driving take-up of space technology and applications to shape, and sustain, the world of tomorrow. We’re driven by how our actions help the organisations we work with, both large and small, to bring new services to market. By connecting industry and academia we help to get new research off the ground and into the market more quickly.

We are one of nine Catapults, uniquely established to transform the UK’s capability for innovation in specific areas and to help drive future economic growth. We help organisations make use of, and benefit from, satellite technologies, and bring together multi-disciplinary teams to generate ideas and solutions in an open innovation environment.

Our aim is to support UK industry by accelerating the growth of satellite applications and to contribute to capturing a 10% share of the global space market by 2030. We are achieving this by exploiting the innovation potential in the UK industrial and academic communities, by being a focal point where small and medium enterprises, large industry, and end users can work together with researchers to challenge barriers, explore and develop new ideas, and bring these to commercial reality.

To do all this we need strong, diverse and inclusive teams. If you think you would be great for one of our roles but don't quite 'tick all the boxes' please apply anyway and show us what you do have!

Important notice for applicants: We use tools to detect plagiarism and the use of AI or chatbots for applicant answers. If plagiarism, AI use (such as ChatGPT) or similar software are found to have been used in your application you will not be considered for this or future roles within the Satellite Applications Catapult.

What candidates think of Applied

Average rating

over the last 12 months

9 / 10
Asking on the job related questions not only shows you the candidate's experience, but also how they think. The fact that CVs aren't looked at and that they are anonymised makes it feel much more fair.
Bojan
The questions asked seemed very relevant and were fun to answer.
