The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA)

Enabling MPs to do what really matters by providing an exemplary, seamless regulatory service.

About us

IPSA is the independent body that regulates and administers MPs’ business costs and decides the pay and pensions of them and their staff. We are the first independent regulator of its kind in any of the world’s democracies.

Our mission is simple.

We enable MPs to do what really matters by providing an exemplary, seamless regulatory service. We’re guided by our values and our brilliant, inclusive culture ensures we’re not only a great place to work but that we also constantly adapt, evolve, and improve everything we do to meet our customers' needs.

Our videos explain more about who we are, what we do and how we do it:

Diversity and inclusion

We’re committed to making IPSA a brilliant place to be. At the heart of our people philosophy is a promise to engage, enable, and empower every team member to deliver excellence, learn, and develop each day.

We're a truly diverse and inclusive organisation and welcome applicants from all backgrounds with a broad range of skills, experience, and knowledge. Our Inclusion Panel and workplace networks ensure we celebrate, embed, and promote equality, diversity, and sustainability.

Flexibility

At IPSA, how you work is more important than where you work. Flexible working is core to our culture.

Civil Service Pension Scheme

As well as the great rewards and benefits you can see on the right-hand side of the page, IPSA team members are eligible to join the Civil Service Pension Scheme.

Our pension scheme provides financial security and options for when you retire, as well as benefits for your family and loved ones.

What candidates think of Applied

Average rating

over the last 12 months

9 / 10
Asking on the job related questions not only shows you the candidate's experience, but also how they think. The fact that CVs aren't looked at and that they are anonymised makes it feel much more fair.

The questions asked seemed very relevant and were fun to answer.
