Job Description

About Us

The Business Analysis Team provides deliverables that enable the successful delivery of ground breaking technology and business change across TfL. We build and support the creation of customer propositions and assist in the delivery of them. We develop the customer proposition into clear business requirements and process maps, crafting effective solutions that maximise customer and business benefit. We see projects through the project lifecycle, acting as the lynchpin between the delivery team and the business to ensure that technical solutions deliver business needs effectively.

The Role

This role is to capture, manage and track business requirements, using agreed change control processes where required. It involves working closely with stakeholders from across TfL and externally, building effective working relationships with them and keeping them updated on the project.

You will identify, analyse and document key business procedures, translating them into standard business process documentation in accordance with TfL organisational standards.

The role requires you to identify, collate, analyse, recommend and present information to enable well informed decisions, and produce written communication using standard TfL templates to enable recipients to clearly understand the purpose and content of the document.

You will review written documentation to ensure outputs are consistent and meet required TfL documentation quality assurance standards, whilst handling your own time to deliver project objectives.

Part of the role is to identify the business need for new or enhanced processes, conducting analysis to consider strengths and weaknesses and recommend a preferred option, providing rationale and impact on the customer and / or end user.

You will contribute to the successful procurement of products and services including supplier engagement and to the User Acceptance Testing and validation of outputs. These include generation of test UAT scripts, testing and recording defects and incidents, prioritisation, tracking and re-testing of defects to inform go-live decisions.

You will have some previous exposure to Business Analysis techniques and practices and the role will give less expert analysts the opportunity to develop their skills, whilst working alongside our Senior Business Analysts.
