We’re looking for our Finance Director

We’re looking for a Finance Director to head up our finance function, bringing practical and strategic insights to a fast-paced and highly technology-based environment.  We are looking to bring further scale and capability to our finance function and we need an inspirational leader to get us there. High energy and curiosity are key, as you’ll be asked to contribute on a dizzying range of topics, from accounting to tax to pricing to treasury to risk management.

We're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA), with experience of a fast-scaling business and operating with highly professional counterparties and regulators. Bonus points if you've worked in a fintech or financial services company, particularly with lending or capital markets exposure. 

More about what you’ll do:

• Being a business partner to the senior leadership team and providing insight and value to all topics including those which may not appear to be finance related

• Lead streamlined monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles; tax strategy and compliance 

• Orchestrate practical financial operations executions across demanding third party financial services partners, including third party money movement, arms-length SPVs and multiple regulators for lending and conveyancing

• Drive and iterate the finance strategy, with clear prioritisation of continuous capability building and clear risk management. Develop, manage and automate finance policies & processes to support this strategy.

• Pro-actively spot and support key strategic decisions with relevant insight, in collaboration with our FP&A and Analytics teams, and own the financial narrative and communication to key stakeholders

• Lead key customer & supplier negotiations

• Develop and lead a finance team capable of delivering our business goals at each stage of growth 

• Build on our already strong capabilities around reporting and business partnering to bring world class lending, capital markets, balance sheet transactions and tax compliance capabilities.
